It worked out just fine in Bloomington IN. They said that it was only supposed to be with a new computer purchase, but i questioned it and they tried to run the coupon with the purchase of the ram and installation costs and it went through so they said they had to honor the coupon. They were...
thanks guys..... the bios setting was just turned down to fail safe settings, just like you guys said, i turned them back up and its running great. Thanks again!!
i built a new computer a little while back and got a good deal on an athlon xp2700. everything was working great, but i just recognized that the computer now recognizes the processor as an athlon xp1500. I am positive it was listed as a 2700 when i built it. I have no idea what is wrong. If...
i have 512 of kingston pc3200 hyperx, can i add this to it?? will it work properly? so basically does it matter that the one is hyper x? i think this may be the deal i was looking for to upgrade to 1024. Thanks in advance for any help i get!
sounds decent but if i am not mistaken there have been multiple posts for a 200 Gb for 59.99, sounds like a better deal, but i guess this is warm!! not a bad find!
if i was going to build again in that price range i would go with an AMD Athlon 64 2800+ Processor Skt 754 & MSI K8N Neo Platinum nForce3 for about $225, Hyper X 512mb ram for about $90, a radeon 9800 video card for about $200, 80Gb hard drive for about $70. that equals $585 so you have 115...
I have an SI-97 and its great, i bought it to replace a mid grade HSU that didnt work at all, I have paired it with a high speed panaflo. with that and my fan control i have maximum cooling and noise control. Thats my vote!! its also very light!
Why not get a medium or high speed panaflo with a simple fan controller so you can adjust the speed? I think you can find a simple fan controller for about 20 bucks.
also my mobo came with a temp monitoring software, maybe check the drivers that came with your comp or contact dell and maybe...
thanks i went ahead and got the SI-97 and and 92mm high speed panaflo to go with it and i also got the Enermax UC-A8FATR4 had great reviews everywhere i looked and it is more the style is was looking for.
I went with the SI-97 because it was lighter weight (bonus because of the clip style...
i also tried motherboard monitor and it peaked out my temp right away it warned that it was to hot and should be shutdown.....
thanks again spike, you gave me more ideas than i had on my own...... looks like a new heatsink and maybe a temp/fan controller..... good thing i have a website like...
i flashed bios and that didnt help..
two programs show the same heat at the CPU and all other temps are fine..... the one program came directly with my mobo so imy guess would be that the temp is accurate...(by no means am i doubting you, but i feel that their software should be accurate)...
ok..... my case temperature is great it is almost perfectly constant at 35 degrees celcius with the case closed and i opened the case up to make sure that this was accurate and it was because i saw no drops in CPU temp.
i also downloaded the program to monitor heat that came specifically...
i just built a new computer it has an athlon 2700 thoroughbred mounted in a MSI k7n2 delta2 motherboard cooled by a speeze heatsink w/fan. Speedfan shows a 65 degree celcius temperature for my CPU at about 15-25% CPU usage. What can be causing this?? My heatsink is the Masscool 80mm LED CPU...
What's the story on this controller?? I am looking to purchase this controller because i like the lcd screen, it matches my case, and it can handle 4 fans and heat sensors. Has anyone heard good or bad??

i dont plan on doing much gaming, therefore i figured the fx 5700LE would be ok, what makes the Radeon 9600 so much better? The power supply is a powmax demon 480W PSU. And the cooling fan as stated above is the heat sink it is a 5F353 speeze from tiger direct( yes i know not the best website)...
I just purchased an athlon xp 2700+ thoroughbred and i was wondering how it
compared to processors such as the intel P4 2.8 and to other athlon chips such
as comparable semprons and 64s, and in this comparison is the difference noticable. I bought this chip for $76 and because all of the info...
