Serious Computer Issue!

Bios version above is wrong I have tried all of the bios file available no fix for me yet. I just think i had one of those fluke experiences where by touching my case it jacked up my entire rig, i am screwed I thinks.

These are the specs I have tested the ram thats fine. THe only thing I think it could be would the the PSU, mobo, or proc.

I tried updating my Bios and this did not my fix my problem. When it boots up it will verify the ram and stall while trying to detect the IDE drives. IT will not detect the CD Rom or HD!!! I don't know what to do! I can boot into DOS mode but thats about it. I am stuck I don't know what the...

I am not so much worried with CS:S and I agree 1.6 is better IMO I dont' really need graphics for CS, you don't typically play these type of games for "graphics" but In HL2 I am having the issues but I will look into the information that you provided

Hmmm, I have WinXP with SP2. Not sure if the SP2 would be affecting my gaming experience. *Sigh* I guess perhaps I should be releaved in a way tho :). I will try the HL2 tweaks and hopefully canfigure this out.

I just use the "freeware" verisons of all these tests I don't know if that means anything. Anyway my 3DMark05 scoure was 5794 CPU Score was 4271 getting 2.1fps and 3.9fps

GA-K8NS Ultra-939 is my Mother Board. Running Version F4 Bios. I do not see this Cool and Quiet setting. And I have flashed my Bios correctly I have double, triple checked them. What menu is the Cool and Quiet setting under? I was under the assumption it would be under PC Health.

I will post my scores soon I am working so I can't get to my PC. As for my resolution I am running a step above 800x600 I think its like 1024x768. I have update all drivers and nothing seems to work. I will again post my 3dmark scores as soon as I can.

Some other information for instance if I run a game on Super Low Resolutions I Get the same FPS i get on Max 1600x1200 for instance So this is why I refer back to thinking a CPU issue.
