    I remember having this issue a while ago when I played through it again, I think patch 1.4 on vista has joystick set as the default control scheme. Either do select default in control options, and exit the game and restart, or just manually bind the mouse in your config.

    Go to Manage 3D Settings in the drivers, and scroll down to Multi-display/Mixed-GPU Acceleration. Set it to, "Single Display Performance Mode," if it is not already. Then set Vsync off. Also make sure Threaded Optimization is set to, "Auto."

    Have you tried setting single display performance mode in the drivers? Also force vsync off, then run the benchmark again. *I was getting lowish scores at first until I made these adjustments, now I hit about 14.4k.
