I had my Opteron144 completely stable @ 2.8GHz with 2x512 of my OC PC3200 CAS2 REV2 DDR. However, I bought another pair of the same RAM and now the computer shits itself whenever the RAM is over DDR333 (166MHz). I have heard from several sources that the Opterons are no good for...
VDIMM volage isn't the problem because
1) They are stable by themselves in pairs of 2x512
2) My board is putting out 2.75v and they only "need" 2.7v
As for a power supply, I would really be suprised, again, if 2x512MB worked, but an extra 2 sticks caused it to need more power. But...
