that is about the way I wanted to set up but failed, took the easier way out I guess with bridging/switching. Isn't NAT being a little problem here (??), because the router already has NAT. I still want to figure it out, especially because not always I will have access to somebody else's router...

thank you, i tried :D well it's standard 192.168.1.1/24. I can log in and change things around linksys (192.168.1.1) the way I want, it's still not mine though and would prefer to mess with it the least. I did get it working by creating bridge on the server between wireless 802.11 and 1Gbit...

Windows 2003 error message

Yeah I know, I have to figure out to get the server box on static IP. Maybe I can ask the building management in charge of IT part to separate one address specifically for the server, that would solve many issues. Or find some other way, but this server gotta be on static.

Windows 2003 error message

After some googling I narrowed it down to DNS problem. The solution offered by people was to manually set primary DNS address on clients to DC's IP and secondary to DSL/Cable ISP Primary DNS IP. That is assuming DC is running DNS server. The one I am talking about is not yet. Now, folks that...

Anyone use their MacBook primarily on windows?

(In windowz) does anybody have issue with MacBook showing core speed fluctuating all the time? I ran CPU-Z and it shows me my core speed on T7200 goes up and down between 997mhz and 1997 mhz (with multi x6 and x12)and does so randomly. I know a notebook can go in power saving mode, but it is on...

Corrupted hard drive partition

Core 2 Extreme has essentially the same "real world" performance as FX62

yeah, every machine I built was AMD so far. But it would be too painful for me to pay $1K for something I can get for 3 bills. I am now on my X2 3800+ running at 4200+ speed and it works out for all my needs just fine. Maybe by the time I have to upgrade in a year or two AMD will deliver. But...

*ALERT* Connect3D GTO No Longer Moddable!

*ALERT* Connect3D GTO No Longer Moddable!

Where are the Nvidia 6150 motherboards?

doesn ASUS A8N-VM CSM have bios issues as well? I'd still love to buy it and slap a X2 3800 on it, or maybe BIOSTAR TForce6100-939. It seems to have more positive reviews about it than any othermATX 939, especially in overclockin department.

Wants to get a MSI RS480M2-IL, but hesitant due to BeOS support

Being honest I did not deal with BeOS. I installed XP pro on MSI RS480M2. I am using integrated video and sounds, and you know what...it's awsome for integrated and more. If ONLY video output would be DVI instead of VGA..then I wouldn't even think of upgrading it for a while.

I've seen at least three reviews with overclocking ATI X800 XL (hothardware, guru3d and vr-zone.sg). I am getting ready to get powercolor x800 xl and vr-zone.sg guys OCed it pretty successfully, with more modding than i would like personally though. Hothardware mentioned using EnTech PowerStrip...

Anyone try MSI's new board-MSI RS480M2-IL

Yeah i suspect it's not a good oc material. It's seems to be solid product though, and maybe with different bios it has potential coz Xpress 200 chipset seemed to have one. I got zalman with arctic silver anyway coz I hope to get 3000+ to 2.0 ghz and even if I don't in silent mode it's gonna be...

Well from what lookin4dlz posted in description of timing it says 2-3-2-6-1..That's hellofa' value ram :). Plus One thing i know that Newegg Kingston Hyper X ram has Model# KHX3200AK2/1G indicated and it costs about $210 shipped...so I guess it is value ram...a Kingston Hyper X value ram

Which X800 xl, MSI, Powercolor or Saphire.

This is an issue with LCD so I posted here. I bought VP912B, a beautiful monitor. However I can not get Pivot function to work. Supposedly my card is not supported??? I have 9800 pro AIW. Only 180 degree pivot works and not the 90 or 270. Thanx for any help.:confused:

Thanx, I'll try that. Just hope all of my Sims 2, Warcraft and Office settings ain't gonna go haywire :) Well about HAL (hardware abstraction layer?), the same things from my old config will be pretty much only 2 HDD and soundcard. Upgrading from XP 2600+ KT600 to AMD 64 3200+, with new RAM...
