How would I go about determining if I had 1.1ns ram in my msi x1900xt? I'd like to flash to xtx as well.

Does it have 2 output jacks for both my 5.1 speakers and headphones? (I have HD555's) That's one of the things that bugs me about my sound card.

I have the first gen NP psu, not the HE series. I've haven't had a single problem with it thus far, so I don't plan on replacing unless it's necessary (hence the forum thread).

That thing's rating me at about a 660w recommendation at 100% peak considering an x1900xt, the 170 oc, and 6 sata hds. That's not what I'd call putting my mind at ease, hehe. Anyway, would you mind giving me a bit more detail on a possibly good ups? I have on in the back that's been sitting...

Taking a look at my current setup below, plus factoring in an upgrade to an x1900xt and an added 500gb hd, would you say that I'm starting to push my 480w to it's limits? I'm looking into getting something a bit beefier, but I'm not sure what (at an affordable price) or if it's even necessary...

Artifacting while playing WC3

Up until about 2 weeks ago I've been running my x800gto2 fine and dandy at 520/580 and playing every game without a hitch (FEAR, CS:S, WC3:TFT, HL2, and CS mainly). But as of 2 weeks ago somewhere in the middle of playing WC3 (footmen frenzy custom game - insanely fun), the whole screen blacks...

Holy!! 27-29^C Under Dual Load

When I first booted my 170 I had 20c idle 29c load... but the next day 29c idle and 38c load. It hasn't changed since, even after a modest 400mhz oc. Just to add, any possibility that he has Cool n' Quiet enabled?

Good pair of earbuds for ipod?

If you're going to get in-ear buds (I call em semi-iems) I'd go for the JVC FX-55's or the Panasonic HJE50's over the sony's. Their cable build quality is much better and supposedly have a less microphonic effect from the cord. I went from an EX51 to a HJE50 and notice a much clearer sound...

You might want to go with the x800gto 16 pipe version from powercolor instead of that xl. It's essentially identical other than an increase in $85 on the price tag.

Critique My Build (Final Changes)

Hardly? But unless you're opting for the 165 over the 170 then yes, those are the components I'd say would be the best bang for the buck. The case isn't to my taste but that's purely on an opinion. I love the lanparty expert and can't argue against it despite the price.

X800GTO2 - success 3D Mark05 scores

I just installed my gto2, having it running via ATITools at x850xt speeds. Scored 6.2k in 3dmark05, not too shabby I think. Gonna get going on my cpu in a day or two.

CPU: The 3800+ x2 is always a solid recommendation, even without oc'ing. Otherwise you can go as far as a 4200+ or an Opteron 170 if you simply want to push the 400 limit. Mobo: There are a LOT to choose from, as of right now yes I'd go with an nf4. Video Card: I'd actually looking into...
