Hypertransport and FSB on an AMD 64?

So you're saying if the resulting cpu speed and hypertransport is the same, there should be no speed difference no matter how high I have the HT aka FSB set to, correct? I'm asking because my 3000+ seems to need more vcore voltage when running at HT=300, cpu multi=8 instead of HT=266 cpu...

Is there a speed difference if I set HT=300 multi=3 resulting in 900mhz hypertransport or HT=180 multi=5 resulting in the same 900mhz hypertransport speed?

In the bios, if I set my CPU=300(default=200), does that mean my memory controller is operating at 300 mhz and is it faster this way with my memory set to ddr266 divider and run my ram at 200 mhz at 2-2-2-5 or should I set my cpu=200 and raise my memory to 266 mhz with 1:1 divider and relax the...

PSU Dual Rails really worth it?

Currently running A8n-SLI Deluxe with a 3000+ on an Enermax 425 noisetaker with dual rails. Weird thing about this computer is when I tried to raise the vcore past 1.5 volts it would just stay that way according to Asus probe and cpu-z. And when I max it out at 1.65 volts, my cpu ran cooler...

My Panaflos are made in Japan. Maybe they are defective or maybe talking about brand preference is just like talking about AMD vs Intel. Everyone will have their preference and any further discussion will only lead to flamewars. I guess people should be happy with what they have and leave it...

I'm sure someone will mention panaflo L1's. But whats the point in a silent fan if it doesn't move enough air? Now if you put 5 of those L1's in your case then you will no longer have a silent case.

That is based on side by side comparsion. I own Panaflo h1, thermaltake smart fan II, enermax, Y & S tech, and generic fans. And my panaflos are pretty loud compared to other fans for the amount of air they move. This is the reason why I believe panaflos' are overrated. My next purchase...

Point is not lowerest RPM, you can go out and buy a fan controller and make it go even slower. My point is that there are plenty of Fans that pushes more air with less noise than the Panaflo's. Yet, everyone seems to praise panaflo and not look at other fans that are better and at better...

Errr I can't seem to edit my post nor create threads so forgive my spelling errors becaues I'm too lazy to proof read. :) I meant to say Panaflo's have lower CFM to noise ratio. And the Enermax 120mm fan is adjustable, thats why you see 2 specs.

IMHO, Panaflos are highly overrated. Their CFM to noise ratio is higher than many overlooked fans such as Enermax's. Just compare Enermax's 120mm fans 64 cfm 24 db 1500 rpm or 93 cfm 30 db 2300 rpm Panaflo's 120mm 86 cfm 35 db 2100 rpm Both are roughly the same...

Worth Going from Barton XP 2600 (333FSB) to XP 3200 (400FSB)?

All you have to do is raise your FSB to 200, make sure your cpu/memory ratio is 1:1 and maybe bump your cpu vcore up a notch and thats it. Problem solved. Why is that so hard?
