Are my temps good?

I just recently installed an xp 90 with as5. I ran prime 95 for about 30 minutes to an hour and my cpu temp was around 48 degrees celcius. It's a p4 2.8 c are those temperatures good?

CPU is VERY HOT! Need recommendation for heatsink/fan

Go with the as5. The xp 90 is the best cooler in my opinion. That's what I have in my computer and it cooled it down drastically.

I need a good CRT monitor within the range of $150 and $250

You should check out the dp930 sb. It's a 19 inch flat screen nec mitsubishi diamondtron. It's a beautiful monitor and comes with a good warranty. It's refurbished but you can't tell they look brand new when you get them. You can pick it up from http://www.nm-select.com for around 199 bucks :)

Well I think you'd just need serial ata cables, and i'd probably go with 2 x 80 gb and set it up for raid 0. I'm kind of a fan of the western digital raptors :) 10000 rpm sata drives.

The dp930sb is definately worth the 199 shipped. It is one of the best monitors i've ever owned. I just got one and it's so good i'm considering getting another one. Considering they are pretty much doing away with crt monitors, you should grab onto one of these while yous till can :)

I currently have a Western digital caviar 7800 rpm hard drive with 8 meg buffer. I was just wondering if I should upgrade to a 10000 rpm sata drive or possibly to so that I could set up raid. Do you guys think it would be worth the performance boost. Let me know what you think.

Prescott VS Northwood

I currently have a 2.8 ghz northwood, and i'm just curious which is better the prescott or my northwood. I've noticed the prescott is cheaper, and a lot of people have told others to go with northwood instead. Could someone give me some insight into this. Thanks

Ok guys well I went ahead and got the refurbished dp 930 sb. I would have liked to get a new one but the new ones have been discontinued. It's got a two year warranty so hopefully everything will be alright. I will write you back and keep you updated on how it goes.

It appears most of the good monitors have been discontinued. Here is a list of monitors that I did manage to find. I found a dp930 sb however it is factory refurbished. It's 200 dollars and 28.54 for shipping. And for another 40 bucks I can get a 2 year extended warranty. What do you guys think...
