No, I left them as they were. Should I raise them? I really wasn't planning on going much higher since this is a passive cooled card. I was more curious than anything.
Is that the Nvidia driver you're referring to? I have the 71.89 drivers already. I'll check for the V-tuner update...
I have the passive-cooled Gigabyte 6800 (GV-N68128DH). It comes with V-Tuner 2 software to monitor the temps and control software overclocking. The default speed is 325/700 and I got 3Dmark05 scores of 3440 with the idle temp at 57C and not going higher then 62C. I overclocked it to 350/770 and...
Thanks for this info! I was able to unlock my Gigabyte 6800's 4 extra pipes (but not the shader; got artifacts with that turned on) and got a nice little 3Dmark05 increase!
Yes, the 2405 comes with a DVI & VGA cable. My DVD is all wrppaed and tucked but it was about 5-6 feet long.
Yep, I see that now. My 5200's DVI port was dead so I couldn't test it. My new 6800 has the Scaling controls in the software and it works great. God, this monitor scales games...
My Radeon 9800 Pro works with native from DVI. I tried it with an older Geforce Nvidia 5200 Ultra and that was no dice through DVI though (as a matter of fact I couldn't get ANY DVI resolution to show up with that card. Maybe the DVI is defective on it).
Thanks. I got mine yesterday and it's just gorgeous. I do get the slight buzzing from the monitor, but I'll live with it. For some reason I can't get the aspect ratio controls for smaller resolution to become available in the Image Settings menu. I'd like to play non-widescreen games without...
There are several different aspect ratios used in movies. The most popular one is 1.85:1 which roughly translates to 16:9. This ratio would pretty much fill up the 2405's screen. The movie displayed in his pictures looks to be in the 2.35:1 ratio which is a much narrow ratio, thus the larger...
