NForce 4 motherboards

Ain't gonna do much good if the board doesn't make production or sells for $400 :(. I'm beginning to tire of price gouging, and $400 is just retarded. People, i beg of you to wait till' january when prices go down and the CEO's finally get the boot on that the average pc geek (myself included)...

Zalman 7000B Al-Cu vs. Thermalright XP90

I would go with the cnps7000, as a fan solution generally allows for a cooler cpu, and if you use zalman's fanmate to the "queit" setting, its just as good as beinf fanless. Of course, i have always been a big fan of Zalman, so my response is probly a little biased ;).

By the way, for anyone crazy enough to spend $300, there is a K8NXP-SLI board for pre-order on pricewatch (forgot the name of the website, jus search privewatch instead).

Currently, it seems Gigabyte has been holding back its flagship model as to correct and update their bios. Late December to early January is when we should start expecting to see SLi, however im not sure about the release of the K8NXP-9 nf 4 Ultra. I will continue to seek more info on release...

Depressing performance with new machine

Well...technically nVIDIA DOES make a 512mb card, the Quadro FX4400, and it costs around $2k also. But you get what you pay for (with the exception of sli nf4's ;) ).

Ultra320 SCSI Compatibility

Granted, but will the controller card really fit into a PCI slot? The card's BUS seems too big, or maybe the terminator is what allows for it to fit? And thanks for your help.

Does anybody know if Ultra320 SCSI 68 pin controller card will work on a mobo with PCI and PCI-Express? All the cards I'm looking at appear to be incompatible with PCI, and I'm new to PCI-Express. The BUS on the cards looks longer than that of the VGA slot. Do I need a special mobo, or can I buy...

Does anyone know if Ultra320 SCSI 68 pin controller card will work with a mobo w/ PCI and PCI-Express? Or do I need a special mobo for it? All the cards I'm looking at look like they won't fit into a PCI slot, and the bus on the them look longer than the vga slot is. Any help would be greatly...

HiroProt- So far i have been able to install Windows XP Professional and Windows XP 64-Bit Edition ;) on an SATA Raptor Drive without a floppy disk setup. However, i have not yet tried on the A8N-SLI, if that was what u were inquiring, if not sorry.

Thanks for all the help, but i still gots one last question; how does the controller card work? I've found several, but some have dual, while others have single ports. Do the hard drives hook into the card and data is transfered to the mobo, or do i need to hook something else up to the card...

64 bit processor for non-gamer ?

It's not so much that having an A64 now would be a great thing (except for u do get the most bang for ur buck), but rather it will be a nice thing to have in the future when windows/linux have perfected their os's.

From what i've seen so far in the forums, www.zipzoomfly.com and several other websites have the boards, though i wouldn't recommend them as they're charging around $300 for them. :(
