So, am I understanding this correctly in that CPG is NOT the same rebate processing company that has the El Paso, TX address? I'm waiting on two rebates from Samsung that were sent to El Paso.

Which Driver?

Umm, no...the drivers on the CD are usually MUCH older than those available from the mobo maker. Get the latest from the mobo maker. They dont make new CDs every time the release a new driver. They probably make 100s of thousands at a time and usually wait until those are all used up before...

NEED HELP: Epox EP-8KDA3+ NForce3 250GB won't boot!

Trying setting the CDRom as the first boot device. Removing the battery doesnt always reset the bios - weird, I know but use the bios reset jumper. As as for the debug code, FF means everything is OK. I have four Epox boards...and they are all showing FF while running.

Yeah, Ive been trying to communicate with Epox about the problem - but they are &$^#* clueless. Here is the convo: -Customer reply 12/25/2004 9:03:21 PM- With my coaxial cable hooked up to my digital amp, there are no SPDIF OUT options showing up in the Realtek Sound Manager software...

Hehe..yeah, DVD Audio is fine because it is 48K. But DTS audio is 44.1 - which gets resampled to an unplayable 48K by the Realtek chips and ALL Creative Lab cards including the A2. Ive seen all the posts about some ppl claiming the A2's can be set to output 44.1....but there hasnt been a...

Yes, stereo/AC3 works fine. The culprit is no being able to set the pass thru - since the ACL850 only does 48K - resamples everything thing like the POS Creative Labs cards. Looks like a $25 (NewEgg) Chaintech AV-710 will have to be the fix...... <grumble>

Nope. 3.57 is the same version of the drivers thats shown in the manual - and still no SPDIF OUT options. <sigh>

Thats just weird. All references in the manual and online at various sites shows the OUT options. The SPDIF Out works - just not as "pass-thru". I want to send the non-decoded DTS signal out the SPDIF to my digital amp - for it to decode. This is exactly what the pass-thru option is in the...

Thanks, I looked and couldnt find the 3.63's (the links were all broken or just redirected to Realtek's site - which only has the latest) So, I install the 3.61 drivers that came on the mobo CD. Sadly, it didnt change anything. Still have the SPDIF IN options in the Sound Manager but no OUT...

A64 stock HSF

Strangely enough, my A64 3200 is idling at 35c with a case tewp of 31c. I thought this had to be incorrect, but the BIOS health says the same thing. This is the stock CPU fan with Artic Silver on an Epox 8KDA3J 2.2 ...with four generic 80mm case fans My XP 2200 used to run at 40c in the...

On a side note, AC3 files play fine from the HD and showup/play as DD on the amp (with AC3Filter). DTS wav files just play static in analog mode - hence the need for the pass thru :0

Its means you get a "pretty box" you could mount on your wall to impress g00bery friends...instead of a plastic bag:) Well, that and sometimes you only get instructions with a retail package. Being that IDE drives are so hard to plug in, this could be an issue.

RAM Underclocking Question

Ok, so my current mobo (which I hope to upgrade in a few months) only supports up to PC2100 (Epox 8KHA+). In the mean time I NEED to buy more ram. So, the question is: Can I buy PC3200 and use it in my current mobo at 2100/266? I dont really want to buy already antiquated (2100) ram...
