I need mobo reccomendation

I am in the same boat as you OP. I was looking at 939 mb combo's from Monarch. Retail $149 3000+ & $124 for the Asus A8V Deluxe and you get Napster, FarCry, and Half-Life 2 FREE. They also will load the latest bios. There might be other combo's you might like if not interested in the Asus.

quote depends on the benchmark, but yes, its almost negligable. Aside from that, the 754 is a deadend. I'd spend a bit more to grab a 939 because thats where the roadmap is leading. I've been trying for a 939 but I figure at least $125 more just for the mb & cpu. Does that justify the cost...

Just a thought, have you checked your bios updates I think the last update was December. And yes power supply & cooling could be an issue.

I see the 430W FCA at Directron for $56, so I assume that's the one you're looking at. The problem with that model is it's a little older and only has 20A on the +12V line. The newer 460W FCA (or FMA) runs around $80 and gives you 33A on the +12V. I'm learning some of this also, but all...
