ugh, what a terrible time to want a new PC

i havent bought a new PC in about 5-6 years i think, whenever Pentium 3's came out. Im sick of waiting too, when these Conroe's come out im buying them. I might go crazy on a PC and claim it on tax, hehe.

Cooling

Dont know much about cooling, but in terms of cooling can you use refrigiration... as long as you control the moisture? Has this been done, is it logical, or stupid idea. I mean i got a spare fridge if anyone wants it.

Which antivirus do you use?

I find the Asus SLI or any of the Nforce4 mobo too expensive at the moment. In my country Australia, you can pay around $400 AUS for the Asus. Which is roughly US$305.

so in other words i should be considering AMD Athlon64 skt 939 3200+ maybe 3500+ in place of the Intel P4 3.2 ghz. I do notice many people favouring the AMD. Do you know anyone who has switched from Intel to AMD of late?
