Not to thread crap, but I bought a similar Belkin 'clone' from here. It worked so-so and I tolerated it until one day it fried the iPod connected to it (via headphone jack and USB power). Oh well.
I am currently using this and it delivers a very strong signal (@ 107.3 for me). Sound...
Ah, I think I may have anawered my own question.
The memory compatibility list is here (pdf).
The Crucial 1GB part # that is listed as supported is "BL12864AA804" and this deal just appars to be a kit of 2 (#BL2KIT12864AA804 as shown on the rebate form).
Ok, I'm going to ask a dumb question...
I'm looking to use this with the GA-965P-DS3. Newegg lists the following under the motherboard specs
"Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on...
Maybe there is a judgement against the property or some other liability that you would be responsible for if you bought it. I'd think they'd have to mention it ("Home of the 2nd largest SuperFund cleanup site!") but you never know.
Well, not sure about that but they list the Wiimote and Nunchuk as "Ships in 6+ weeks". I have no idea why they allow you to order something with that kind of lead time at this time of year.
IMO, Monarch is excellent. Ordered a custom Athlon 64/939 system from them about six months ago and was having all sorts of stability issues. Narrowed it down to the RAM. They asked me to send the box back which annoyed me a bit, but when I got it back they had replaced the RAM and cable tied...
Sure they do. Click on "Help me choose" in the "Display" section, then click on the "Details" tab in the window that opens up. I'd post it here but it's in a table format and I'm not sure how it would display. They list contrast and resolution but I don't see anything on response time.
Cheap CRT (or LCD I suppose if it's really cheap). Refurb okay. Just need to slap it onto a spare system and it's not worth fixing my 17" CRT. I never seem to have the right timing to pick up any of the CRT deals that pop up every so often.
Different approach, but iRiver makes something called the AFT 100 that plugs into the car cigarette adapter. I don't have it (yet) but it is supposed to be able to broadcast on any FM frequency. It also auto powers off after 30 seconds of no signal from the headphone jack. If you have a power...
My favorite media for it is Ridata DVD+R 4x (RICOHJPN) which can be written at 8x speed. There is a very long thread at cdfreaks on media that people have tested with the drive so you can see what DVD-R media has performed well with the drive. There is also a Burn Quality Hall of Fame.
Yes, they do go slower for Super Saver. Here's a response I got from them about a "Ships in 24 hours" order that didn't ship for three days...
"For this order, I see that the shipping method selected is our free
Super Saver Shipping option. This option is for customers who are
willing...
