I think if I do that I will still get the message when installing ATI's DVD decoder. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with 9.0 not being out when the disk was distributed and the installer sees it as not having what it thinks is the highest version, 8.0

I updated my BIOS last night and then was able to see it in disk management. It is now formatted and working great in conjunction with my IDE drives. Thanks Zelmo and Ioo for the advice.
I have an ATI AIW 9700pro and I captured a football game last weekend to MPEG2 and it is way too huge to fit on one DVD. What is the best format to use where it would fit on a DVD, play in a regular DVD player and still look good?

I could not get the drive recognized to format it. I went to the BIOS and set the drive to manual and set it to SATA 0 and upon bootup it recognizes the drive. You can also see the drive in device manager but not in My Computer.
