Help me choose a projector for gaming

Hello, I am looking for a decent projector for flight sims. I would like to find something affordable as someday I would like to build a display using thee projectors and Matrox triple head2go. I know nothing about projectors and am having a hard time finding info on them. Thanks for the help.

Upgrade to 8800gts?

What about waiting for the 9800gts? Apparently they are coming out in Novemeber. Or I could get an EVGA 8800gts and use their stepup program.

Upgrade to 8800gts?

I'm leaning toward the 640 mb version too. It sucks finally having a decent sized monitor and having to turn down the resolution. Which version did you buy? I like EVGA cards myself.

Upgrade to 8800gts?

The downside to upgrading to a 22" widescreen monitor is the extra load it puts on my GPU. I am currently running: AMD 4000, 2G RAM, 7800 GTX. I know that my processor might be a bottleneck if I upgrade to the 8800gts, but the games that are slow seem to do much better in lower resolution...

Ati talks smack about Nvidia's 512mb gtx

ATI is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. They should let the performance of their cards speak for themselves. Anyone who buys a $500 + graphics cards reads a lot of reviews and is not swayed by BS propoganda. I'm an ATI fan but I think their product release this generation just plain...

ATTENTION: 7800 GTX Owners....

I'm an ATI fan but I bought my 1st Nv card in September. I have an EVGA 7800GTX and I like it a lot. No problems at all. Very pleased with this card.

How long before outdated?

The only thing that depriciates faster than computer hardware is your lunch. That being said, I think your system is quite good. Out of date is very subjective, depending on what kind of user you are. If you must have bleeding edge, than yes, your system is out of date. Bleeding edge systems...

I am trying to install a EVGA 7800GTX into the DFI board (just one for now). The graphics card contacts the cover on the chipset fan. In fact the profile of the card goes right over the chipset fan. Is it ok like this? Is this card incompatible or am I doing something wrong. Thanks for...

There is a lot more to a video card than just gaming. How about media capabilties? Image quality? How about 2nd quality on a flat panel or even good ole CRTS. There is a lot more to a video card than just gaming. Oh please... Ok, I'll give you image quality.

People seemed to expect the 1800 series to be a better performing card for the same money. I just don't think this happens in the hardware world. I'm not surprised the cards are neck and neck. It always seems to turn out this way. NV has been beating ATI in terms of price and availability...

ATi R520 Slated For Oct 5th Launch

Eventually, ATI will release it's next gen cards. I predict they will be slightly better in some games, slightly worse in others. If it is significantly better, then there will be fewer of them for more money. ATI will not go under because they released late. In 6 months we will not remember...

I ended up calling EVGA. They told me that the cards were exactly the same and that the serial number was kept to distinguish it from the card sold with the motherboard. He said that at one time the # 256-P2-N525-AX was clocked slower because of heating issues. Most of those were recalled the...

Actually, I ended up ordering everything but the card until I figure it out. Thanks for the info. I will probably order something with th 28 or 38 part number just to make sure. Thanks for the help.

I don't now how many versions of the 7800GTX are floating around. The only difference I can tell is extras bundled in and the memory and GPU have higher clock speeds. As far as I can tell, this one is clocked a little higher than the reference 7800GTX, but is otherwise the same...
