SATA Boot Problems

If I plug in any SATA Drive into my computer, it locks up during the POST sequence with the line "Verifying DMI Data Pool..." My motherboard is a Gigabyte K8NSP with the F4a BIOS, with an Athlon64 3400+ and WinXP Pro. Any suggestions to get it to boot with an SATA device? thanks

Perhaps some system files on the HDD have been corrupted? If all your hardware checks out and you have reinstalled your software that is the only thing I can think of. A reformat would probably be necessary...

PC Speakers to TV

I have a set of 5.1 computer speakers that I would like to hook up to my TV. It only has var. output and regular speaker hookups. Is there an adapter or something that would allow me to do this? EDIT: found out it is possible with an adapter.

New HP Laptop Problems

The first one I ordered had this problem so I sent it back to HP and received a new one. It had the exact same noise problem. It is certainly not ultra-quiet, it seems almost as if it is designed to do it. I will check and see if I have the HP system Health Scan.
