Reviews of the Dell Inspiron XPS Gen2 laptops all show using 75.xx revs of Forceware drivers, but I can't get a Forceware driver download to work on my XPS Gen2 other than the Dell provided 72.01. Can someone give me some helpful advice? Please don't tell me Im stuck with OEM drivers from...
I own the XPS Gen2 and it is PLENTY portable. This is nothing like the first herckin brick XPS laptop from Dell. This is the most impressive laptop I've ever had the privelege of touching. I am truly blessed. You have not lived until you've played Chronicles of Riddick at 1900x1200 on this...
For you guys blowing away your Windows installation by trying to overclock, ever heard of ERD System Commander? Its a bootable Windows XP cd. I use that to see if Im stable. No corrupt system files if I crash out. Just a suggestion.
Hey, Im considering the same model, and I also play primarily WoW. Are you saying that WoW supports the native awkward resolution of it???? Please respond, more info!!!! :)
People want to help you but Im afraid a very small population of the forum has SLI yet. Ever heard of the "bleeding edge"? One thing I would do is completely test each card independently. Remove one, and run 3dmark continuously overnight in single mode. Then if all goes well, do the same...
I wanted to refresh this topic as I've concluded my search for the premiere SLI PSU. The only negative that I can see with this PSU is that it is not modular. Keep in mind, the PC&P 510-SLI is an awesome PSU, but is noisy (getting reported estimates of ~40dba or louder). I don't have one...
Everyone is running (2) 512MB modules, which I understand is optimum for TCCD. Does anyone have a recommendation for 1GIG modules, for a ram total of 2GIG, dual channel? There has to be a bad ass 1GB module that will run 250mhz... someone? *begs*
Well at the very least on threads Im subscribed to..? This is a very common feature on other forums, I find it very difficult to keep my place on multi page threads. So, is there such a feature?
You have to factor in the corporate greed factor. I too think that Asus rushed theirs out the door and banked on their previous reputation, and maybe they had a bit of arrogance too, thinking they could get it right in pre-production but as the date came close they still had problems and chose...
The PC Power and Cooling 510 SLI appears to be one of the very few PSU's available so far with dual pcie power leads.. Just wish I knew how loud it was. My last PCP&C PSU had a very loud fan, which turned me off bigtime.
It appears everyone with TCCD chips is having good luck. OCZ PC-3200 Plat Rev2 EL is apparently the best stuff on the planet. I cannot speak from experience yet, waiting for the scene to settle a bit.
Curious if anyone has tried installing Windows Server 2003 on their AN8-SLI board yet? We all know Win2K3 is the fastest gaming O/S, right? Just curious about NForce4 support and Nvidia SLI driver support.
Thanks!
