HD "Failed with critical errors" - help needed

I boot my PC this morning and it gets to the desktop just fine. However, once I try to run any application (IE, Firefox, games, etc.) nothing will load. The HD is spins but nothing happens. I used chkdsk and I did a Windows repair but nothing helped. I ran Seatools on my HD and I got an error...

A nice man from UPS just came and dropped of a neat 20" widescreen monitor for my little grandson.

I got mine today as well. Works perfectly out of the box. So sweet.

6600GT issues

I did plug in the Molex connector (my power supply has them in abundance) but I will double check to ensure the connection is secure. Funny thing is that World of Warcraft and a few other games run fine. It's Half Life 2 and 3DMark that have the problem.

6600GT issues

I didn't uninstall the drivers but the Nvidia control panel seemed to have no trouble recognizing the card. In fact, some new features popped into the panel that weren't there under the Ti4600. After I noticed the problems, I reinstalled the drivers but to no avail. As for the AGP setting, my...

Advice needed: Best upgrade path

I'm mostly playing HL2 and WoW. I get good performance on both right now but most of the extras are turned down. Plus, I just ordered a widescreen monitor with 1680 x 1050 resolution, so I need a little more graphical horsepower. I run everything today in 1280x1024.

Video card upgrade for older machine

I just ran 3dmark03 (05 doesn't run for some reason) and got a score of 1760. Users with similar systems but 6600GT's or ATI 800 series were running scores in the mid 7000's. That's quite an increase. Oh, and I checked the 2600+ review on this site. The performance increase over the 2000+...

Cvolt, my mobo is ASUS A7V333 rev. 1.01. I can upgrade the processor to an XP 2600+ for $70 but I don't know if that's going to help.
