IMHO, CM isn't what is used to be. There are so many devs, working on so many different devices. It was a different creature when Steve himself had a G1 and was developing for it. There are a lot of great ROMs out there, it all depends on what you are looking for...

Internet drops signal often

I can't speak for comcast but as one of their competitors, I would be more than happy to check everything to the outside of the house if the customer couldn't be home during normal business hours.

Oh great, more issues.

That's a good point too. Let it run for more than just a few hours. I've seen a few bad sticks that are okay for one or two passes then begin to fail. It could still just be a buggy motherboard, I've seen plenty of those. :(

+1 Also, I don't know if customers are responsible for their own house wiring with Comcast, but you might want to give them a call. If all your house wiring is good, it's probably their problem.

Att wireless network showing up on my Straight Talk service

I assume your running an AT&T based ROM? If so, look under Wireless > Advanced for a "Auto Connect to ATT hotspot" option. I don't think it should have anything to do with the APN's.

Epoxy Coated PCB Rework

Are the caps completely coated too? You might be able to rock the cap back and forth enough to break it off, leaving it's leads in the PCB. Then you could just solder the new cap to the stubs of the old leads.

That option is exactly what I thought it was then. It's for creating multiple links (a trunk) between two switches to increase the bandwidth between sections. I'm not sure if you'll be able to do what your hoping with just the switch. You almost need a router that can do traffic shaping...

frequent disconnections - MTNL

Have your ISP check your line. Chances are they are pushing it beyond what the line will support. It could be the line, bad/missing filters, or just distance from the DSLAM. If your max rate is say 9mb, and they set it to 8mb, it will drop off and retrain on you. No firmware or settings in...

Which NAS best provides for my simple needs

My vote goes to anything Synology. I've been running a DS109 for years with 1tb internal, and two usb drives hanging off it. I've been tempted to get a 2 bay model when they're on sale, but it's not that big of an issue.

Link aggregation isn't going to be what your after. That would be like if you had two segments with the same switch on either side. You could set up a link agg group between them and connect them with multiple cables to increase bandwidth between segments. QOS is probably what you need, but...

build or buy NAS for plex server

I can't say for sure about running Plex, but I'm a fan of Synology NAS's. After trying the home built thing twice I went with a NAS device. After trying models from Buffalo and Netgear I landed on Synology. Faster, more stable, less power consumption, smaller, and more flexible.

Doesn't look like a bad case, but keep in mind it's low profile so you'll need a low profile cpu cooler and a video card with a low profile bracket. If you could give up a little bit of height on your shelf, I'd go with a full size mATX case. Much easier to run wires and better airflow...

Issue with 2nd Wireless Router Connected

Does it seem like you loose connectivity after a set amount of time after connecting a device? (like 24 hours)? A cleaner solution would be to replace one of the routers with a wireless access point, or wireless repeater.

AM2 vs AM3 HS retention mounting differences

I'm finding some mixed answers on this. Do AM2 and AM3 boards share the same hole spacing for the heatsink retention clip? I'm looking to upgrade my AM2 rig to a AM3 setup and I'd like to reuse my dtek waterblock. It's the old style with a mounting plate instead of the "pro style mounts".

about the secure of the web server

Keep all your servers up to date. For example as root on a redhat system run yum update. And true, with a hardware firewall you still need to leave your server open. If your server can be hacked, it defeats the whole purpose of the firewall.
