The board was new, the review of this motherboard said it was a great overclocker. It is actually a solid board besides this overclocking thing. Ok so ram 5:6 and for HT that would be the hammer fid setting? which doesnt go down to 3x http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=6&id=1600

I got this board with a 3500+ Newcastle core very cheap from a friend, it was new. I find the review where it was said to be an incredible overclocker but mine isn't. I have tried everything but it wont go past 215 cpu clock. I have tried voltage changes, multipliers, lowering the ram speed...

MSI Neo4-F Vs. Chaintech VF4

Well ironically I have both the MSI and the Chaintech, I bought the chaintech when I thought I was having problems(turned out to be a little paste on the cpu). They are very similar, the MSI has brighter colors basically. I will be selling one of them. PM me.

Thanks for the advice but yes I tried that. I pushed the little clear cmos button and went into bios and just as I restored defaults it shutdown. It has to be heat related but I all fans are working, thermal paste is on, and the heatsink is touching as far I as I can see. I made sure the cpu...

Nevermind! I had a little gunk on the cpu pins, works fine now. Sweet! No problems at all so far with this mobo, no strange shut downs or anything. Played counterstrike source all day, rock solid at default settings.
