Thanks Charlie. PCs will share a synced data folder via the "cloud". It will also be separately backed up daily on the main PC.

I just upgraded to the 4890 from a 7900GT.

9800pro->X1950XT->HD4890 Each step saw huge jumps in performance. :)

Abviously you misunderstood the meaning of for best performance. I was mearly stating in my previous post that MANY people say to PUT IT ON THE OUTER PLATTER to get the most performance. Regarding my question, how do all these people seem to know where the outside platter is located or how to...

Vista 64 + 3007WFP + NVIDIA drivers: Are they any good?

I am using an ATI X1950XT and looking to upgrade. How are the NVIDIA drivers these days for someone gaming with Vista 64 Ultimate and a Dell 3007WFP-HC? I have been under the impression that ATI has had much better/ more stable drivers for Vista.

at what point is vista quicker than xp?

I have a: E4400 C2D 2.0 GHz 4GB Ram X1950XT WD640 HDD Dell 3007WFP HC Dual boot Vista Ultimate 64 and XP Home for about 1 month Basic programs, IE7, Older games I was really looking forward to using Vista for the reported benefits..... In my experience, Vista integrates function...

Why does Vista 64 Ultimate take so much longer than XP home to: 1. open and flip through pics 2. Show thumbnail pics in a folder full of pics (XP also kept the thumbnails cached when the folder was left then re-entered. Vista does not seem to.) Why does Vista NOT open jpegs as regular pics...

Difficulty with Installation

After a lot of tweaking from within WinXP using Partition Magic, I found that the WD640 was a logical partition. I changed it to primary and all is well. Vista is good so far. Thanks for the assistance.

I added the new hard drive (WD640). When I'm in the BIOS or booted into the WinXP desktop, the keyboard is fully functional. However when I try to boot from the OS CD, my keyboard is totally unresponsive and doesn't allow me to "Press a Key to Boot from CD". This is the case with both the XP...
