    Personally I absolutely love the mouse, but you're right, it definitely is a fingertip mouse and not a palm mouse at all. If you're a claw-grip user, then it's perfect, but if you palm-grip your mouse, then I'd look at the VX revolution.

    Why do geforce 8 cards have so many problems with games?

    I'm not sure why. I've got an 8800GTS and had an 8600GT before, and they're both pretty terrible. I keep getting blank screens or "driver stopped responding" during gaming, at stock clock speed. Never had these kinds of problems before, my vid card before these was a 9600pro.

    If you're overclocking, then CPU fan would be recommended for a maximum overclock. But as it is, your results should be fairly good. In my opinion, the extra few clock cycles you get from buying an aftermarket cooler usually aren't worth the cost.

    Radeon HD3850. It's on the high side, though. If you really just want to get something cheap, you can get an 8600GT for $80, which is better than your x850xt, but probably not by a huge amount.

    Plenty of possible reasons, hardware architecture is fairly complex. The difference between NVIDIA and ATI cards is fairly fundamental, I would guess. It's better to just look at the benchmarks and not the specs.
