www.olin.edu I doubt they have an ROTC program (the whole school only has a class size of ~320), but they have a cross-registration program with 3 other schools (Babson, Brandeis, and Wellesley). I just checked Brandeis' site and they have a navy and army ROTC program through Boston...

College Search

Although it's a new college, I recommend Olin College (near Boston), if you're definitely sure you want to do engineering. Their full-tuition scholarship is nice too :D.

How do you research / find new music?

Gnoosic.com allows you to enter up to 3 artists/bands and gives some suggestions, and the options of: like, dislike, and don't know. Not as fancy looking as pandora.

Looking at universities

If you're thinking about the Ivy, I found Cornell to probably be the best with regards to engineering. Some other great school to consider: Carnegie Mellon, UIUC, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Purdue, UW-Madison, etc. If you're applying to state schools like UIUC, UMichigan, and UWisconsin...

skateboard for transportation

Having plenty of skateboarding experience, I would lean towards a bike. Skateboards are fun, but long distances and crappy pavement make it harder compared to a bike.

Who else was rejected from colleges this week?

I've been hearing mostly good. Last decision is tomorrow (Cornell). So far, my list is (in order of preference): Olin College of Engineering (waitlisted, but 11/20 kids got in last year, so I'm very optimistic), Carnegie Mellon, UIUC, Northwestern, RPI. I was also rejected from MIT. I applied...

Got rejected from MIT and Caltech!

Yay, an AT MIT rejection group to join. Didn't apply to caltech though. But I'm currently a candidate at Olin College, which I'm hoping works out in the next week or so (full tuition scholarship for all who get in). If not, CMU or UIUC, here I come.
