Nice Job toekramp!
This thread has a special place in my heart as I had almost the EXACT same thing happen to me. It was also a first gen crazy Asian lady. I came home one day and parked on the street barely 5m away from my complex and happened to be in front of a townhouse. Next thing I know...
Not a single one of those can match the direction and cinematography that Apocalypse Now has. Plus who doesn't like the smell of napalm in the morning?
My point wasn't to try to disprove or prove anything. My point was that religion tends to think that if you have faith in anything it proves that religion is more correct somehow.
I have faith that I am not going to get hit by a meteorite today, but that doesn't add any credibility to any...
Yeah I have faith that the flying spaghetti monster doesn't exist either. Faith is jut a word used by zealots to help affirm their belief system and really has no implication on reality.
Cats were essential to the begennings of human civilization. The reason they were revered by the ancient Egyptians is because they protected the grain stores. Egyptians whole society was dependent off agriculture of the Nile, that was in essence protected by cats that eliminated rodents eating...
I am not sure if this was posted in this thread as i didn't read through the whole thing as I am getting too damn hungry...
Anyway, here is the ultimate Heart Attack (an In 'N Out 100x100):

OK I am trying to figure out how to set power management properties for my data drives differently than my OS drive in Windows XP Pro.
Is it even possible?
NCQ is only useful for high I/O server situations, so for the average user out there it makes no difference (actually even for the average enthusiast it still holds true)
glassy: just checked your link... Whered your vid cards go!!!!! ANyway, it seems like a novel solution. However, IN my case I could not fit that blower becaus ethe 6800GT's extend way over the heatsink.
I just recently installed the Zalman myself along with two vf700-cu's (it was a mild pain...
Just a warning: The Zippy doesn't work with the DFI nforce4 boards... :(
I had been thinking about getting both ( i have a zippy 400w, that is pretty damn solid and is powering my 6800GT rig in SLI right now qith out a problem... but I am using the asus board)
heh... YEAH!
If you don't know how to turn-on a computer without a switch using a flat head driver, you shouldn't be building a computer... What a moron...
I didn't even use a case switch for the first few days I had my a8n-sli up... well actually now that I think about it, my rig is again...
WTF are you talking about? EVERY 939 3200+ is produced in the 90nm form, which means it IS a winchester... Newcastle 939's only came in 3500+ 3800+
Unless of corse TM they roll out Venice or whatever... then you can say not all are winchesters...
That is what I was htinking too... But I coulda sworn I used my older p4 rig with win2k at one point and HAD hyperthreadin enabled...
Q: Is it posisble to run win 2k with hyperhtreading?
well if you are running with coolbits, then you can have two settings one for 2d and one for 3d... so when you boot it is stock, but when you run a 3d app it boosts it to whatever...
BFG's BIOS is 370core 1000mem for the GT...
yeah i have had two 9800pros over the last year and a half... The one with samsung memory ran the mem clock at about 395mhz max... (i could get it to run 400mhz on a cold day wiht a fan right over the card) it could only do 410 core
i had to RMA the sucker and got back a 9800pro that does...
default PCI-E runs at 2.5ghz fom my knowledge... although in my BIOS i can set fom 100-200mhz... SO I am assuming it uses a 25x multi or some such...
Anyway i have ran mine out of spec to the 130mhz freq b4... and i didn't notice any performance advantage (this was with one 6800GT)...
If you haven't seen this solution elsewhere, just rememeber that the 6.39 ethernet drivers seem to be reporting instability. If you installed the 6.39 nForce drivers, then roll back your ethernet...
supposedly you will only need a BIOS update cause AMD's dual cores will have the same pin layout (939, well there will be dual core 940pin probably too...)
Yeah the motherboard sensors suck, but at least they detect the Delta changes, so if you see any fluctuations then you should be worried... Just don't believe that their baseline is the true voltage...
I am using the 4200EL Plat (2.5-3-3-8) not the 4200EL gold (2.5-4-4-8) and it works fine, but it is overkill as is most TCCD for this board as the 1t issue canot be overcome...
I have been able to run looping timdemos in doom3 at 320mhz 3-4-3-9 2t timings before with no problem on this...
I have a dual 6800GT rig running right now and honestly the only complaint (and it really isn't a bad one) is that my room no longer needs central Heat :P
If I am running a Current Gen Game the cards run around 70C each... I am curious as to the BTU rating of my system now...
But you are...
did you change the voltage settings in the BIOS form manual to the recommended voltage? I heard the auto setting can read SPD values incorrectly at times...
Are there no PCI(not express)Dual DVI cards? I know I have a 9200SE that's PCI which I got as a backup card and I can't quite remember atm but I am pretty sure it is 1 VGA and 1 DVI... It would seem there would be a PCI card which has DUAL DVI...
I seriously doubt that drivers can cause a problem with the BIOS even detecting the disks... Is it possible? Also, if you have 1003 and the DM 10 drive, can you cut and past the info within device manager under the properties of the disk on the details tab? I would like to see what firmware...
I highly doubt anyone with a winchester will be able to obtain those high speed 1t rates due to it's limited memory controller... the 4000+ and FX-55 on the other hand, allow one ot max out the board's ability
Which is also probably the reason why some reviews are showing that the Marvell LAN port is faster...
I too noticed that when disabling the NVLAN Port in the BIOS the NV firewall seemed to be not functioning (it was hard to tell for me, cause port scans were all blocked by my router anyway)
