If you dislike the feel of the G9 (I know I hated it to hell), get rid of it. Nothing makes me rage more than a mouse that I don't want to hold. The G500 is an excellent mouse.
That game is worth so much more than 10 bucks. I can't believe I got it for $5 from Steam when it went on sale. I'd say the game by itself is worth at least $40.
So how much playtime do these expansions add to the original? If this ends up doubling the amount of time I spent on the original, I might consider it when it drops to say...$20.
Three thin lines of TIM on the metal parts in between the heatpipes. Mount the heatsink. Yes, I own one. I've tried numerous application methods and this is what worked best for me. I use dual Yate Loon D12SL-12s.
EDIT: Lapping is a waste of time and money on a $30 heatsink. You'll end up...
I want prone so I don't have to hold crouch down for minutes at a time. Vehicles are nice but this game just doesn't have that epic battlefield feel that BF2 did. I think I'm going to go back to playing BF2.
Hmm. It's butt-ugly, it has more fans than I know what to do with and I can't set my drink on top of it or I could kill my components should I spill it.
No, it'll just get less airflow than intended. However, if your PSU is efficient, it won't require that much cooling in the first place and for the most part the fan will spin at a very slow speed.
Honestly, the stock cooler with AMD's Phenom II quads are pretty good. The heatpipes and all work really well and are far better than the pieces of junk bundled with Intel's quads.
No, the problem is the inherent imbalance of the hard drive platters. I have the same problem with both of my WD hard drives, among them a RE3 enterprise drive. I removed both the WDs for the week and I've slept in peace ever since.
This heatsink works better with a push-pull configuration. I'm doing that with some cheapo Yate Loon D12SL-12s and my Q9550 doesn't go past 42C with Prime95 for 30 minutes. Impressive results, I would say.
Yep, welcome to a market where RAM is three times more expensive for the same thing as a year ago, NVIDIA stopped producing the GTX260/275 because they were bleeding money, ATi getting to charge whatever they want for the HD5700/5800/5900 series while drivers are still somewhat flaky, and Intel...
Well, I've mounted and remounted the heatsink four times with varying degrees of thermal paste application and two fans (Arctic Cooling ACF12PWM and the stock fan) and I've concluded that even though my Ninja 2 had a loose pushpin, it somehow still managed to cool better than the CM212+.
At the...
I just bought a CM Hyper 212+ for my Q6700. I'll let you know how that goes because with my Scythe Ninja 2, I was up to 71C after 10 minutes of OCCT Linpack at 3.33GHz at 1.3V.
The AC7Pro doesn't handle quads very well.
It means "Sorry, but I only know Chinese" in Traditional Chinese.
However, I would have put it differently and said "对不起,我只认识中文。" (Simplified Chinese). The difference in translation: Sorry, but I only recognize...
Do you expect everyone to buy a Marantz CD transport that outputs via optical to a $1000 DAC and then a Woo Audio 2 to a balanced HD800 with a $600 silver cable? Please. It's music. If you enjoy it, done. If you don't, get rid of it.
