Come to think of it...I didn't walk to the mail box, but I did take out the trash...that's it! Thanks toyota!
It wasn't just core parking it was HPET too. Disabling HPET reduced my overall latency by quite a bit. That could explain a few things.
I agree, that all of those things seem unrelated...yet...they are not present anymore!
BTW, I will add that if I alt+tab out of BF3 now, the stutter returns.
Welp - I figured out my problem!
It wasn't the PSU.
It was HPET and CPU parking! I don't know why in all of my posting in forums, and Googling I didn't come across those solutions before, but that was it!
Now there is almost no stutter, the card overclocks much better, and I think the coil...
I have very similar issues:
-I returned two different EVGA GTX 780's due to artifacts and random slow-downs / stuttering in BF3
-I returned 2 GTX 760's that I was running in SLI due to random slow-downs / stuttering
-I am about to Return a Galaxy GTX 780 HOF for slow-downs / stuttering...
All the Prime failures where rounding errors. The blue screen during the Prime test was a pagefile access error (because I set Prime to run at 3200MB in custom).
Hey guys,
I got a Q6600 from Fry's on BF and replaced my E4300. Since I really don't have a lot of time to mess with it, I just figured I'd go for a modest overclock of 3GHz. However, I can't get it to to through more than an hour of Prime 95 for more than an hour without one of the cores...
YES! Me too! That's the first time that's ever happened to me. I didn't get Quake Wars though, and I thought I was supposed to. I'll take a higher clock speed any day though :D
I've been tempted to buy this for my daughter several times, but planting a garden in a video game just doesn't sound very interesting to either of us.
Sounds exactly like the PS3 pre-order "mistake."
They get all of our info, issue invoices, then say they never intended to have PS3 pre-orders.
Just as well anyway since the PS3 ain't too dam good.
Did all of you attach a bank account to your Google Checkout account? I really don't feel comfortable doing that. Since I was an early Paypal adopter, I never had to attach a bank account (I think you have to now). Is there any way I can just keep the money on GCO, and then spend it on GCO...
Thanks Core2. As far as the extra cooling goes, I have just the thing for it. I have a Thermalright SLI HR, and a Thermalright NB-1C. I just can't decide which one I'll put on the North and which on the South.
I guess it would be easier to just ask:
1) Do the 650i boards have SATA corruption issues, or holes in the OC straps (like the 680i boards did/do)?
2) Do the 650i boards have any other problems?
Thanks for the reply.
When you say "No problems like that with the 650i's"
do you mean:
a) The new 680i has fixed the problems the 680i had, and the 650i doesn't have the old problems either
b) The The new 680i has fixed the problems the 680i had and the problems the 650i had.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I've been thinking about buying an Nvidia 6x0i board ever since they came out, but the SATA corruption and Mem/OC holes on the 680i's scared me.
Do the 650i's have any of the problems that the 680i's did? Or are they fixed on the 680i's now too (with BIOS updates)?
Thanks
DAMMIT! I just called these guys because my status has been stuck on "drop ship - awaiting tracking info" for the last two days. I am pissed because:
1) I though it would have shipped by at least yesterday (I was hoping for Mon). It still hasn't shipped.
2) I paid tax (in NC) because they...
I will give heatware feedback for all things sent to me, and I ask the same if I send something to you,
Have (just pay shipping):
Mouse USB to PS/2 Converter

More to come as I clean my closet.
Looking For:

Yes, it is VERY GOOD. It is exactly what I wanted for my E4300.
Thanks Lukeman, I went ahead and bit anyway. You can also get this for $165 + Shipping from GEIL if you are worried about ComputerHQ. However, ComputerHQ took Paypal, so I got it from them.
DAMMMMITTTTT!
I FINALLY caved last week and bought one last week after holding off for a long time. I had a bunch of reward points on my credit card and cashed them in for an Amazon gift certificate (but I could have got a Target gift certificate instead). I guess I can't complain because I...
Well I did get emails saying that I was going to be sent both Vista and Office 2007. However, neither email mentioned anything about me doing anything (including filling out a W-9) BEFORE they would send them. I thought they would just send the W-9 form with the software. Then I find out it...
I don't know about the 360 version of R6V (The only part of R6V I've seen for the 360 is the demo), but I can tell you that the MP in the PC version of R6V DOES switch to lower detail and it looks like A$$. There is NOTHING you can do about it.
I agree 100% I'm tiered of people using Oblivion as the only comparison between the PC and the 360. I have never played Oblivion, and have no desire to play a game like that. I used to love PC gaming. R6 and GR were the games I loved the most. Right now, I have an 8800GTS and the Xbox 360...
Yep, this is complete Bull$hit. This is almost a scam. I live in a podunk crappy little town where people only waited in line for about an hour to get Wii's on launch day. However both the Gamestop, and EBgames say they have no Wii's or DS's, and they will not accept the offer unless they...
It's obvious that they just do the credit on a certain day and everyone that qualifies gets it on that day, no matter when they made the purchase. So it could end up being a few months or a few days.
Well, I just went there, the 6' is $8.76 shipped to me. So this deal is about the same as Monoprice, it all depends if you need the extra 0.6' or not. Or, whether or not you're Canadian - because I'm sure they don't allow imperial measurements accross the border :P
