Android camera...

Not the camera icon the app. No clue how to use it. I push the circle, it spins then nothing. I sound really stupid right now.

Gigabyte EX58-UDP4 RAID recovery...

Im not running software RAID. Its hardware which is why i am concerned about transfer if i have to get a new mobo. I would rather not and want to stick with a socket 1366, finding a 1366 mobo these days is rather challenging.

Im not sure what "FakeRAID" is. Can you explain? Its not software RAID, its a RAID specific chipset.

Im not crazy about the "should work" comments. If i buy a new mobo, i want it to be 1366 and most importantly it has to work with the gigabyte intel RAID.

Gigabyte EX58-UDP4 RAID recovery...

I built this machine 7 years ago and decided on RAID 10 with 4 1TB drives. A couple weeks back something terrible happened, the machine will not POST anymore. I have narrowed the problem down to mobo. So i need a replacement or can i use some other socket 1366 mobo to recover my RAID data...

1440p Sample Videos?

In all the videos im still getting color quantization that is not desirable. However, i can not rule out compression artefacts. Does no one have a link to a 1440p uncompressed (or lightly compressed) video sample?

Look you nitwit, even if this rubbish software is reloading the entire game, 2 minutes is VERY different than the original load time (once those idiot "wait" load screens are disabled). While "Loading..." is flashing i have looked at resource allocation...guess what? Its ZERO. Kind of makes...

GTA IV: Load times are silly...

6-disc RAID10 array with an i7 980x and 12GB. If you look at that file i mentioned, its clear that that there is nothing going on behind the scenes, its just a "wait" script. Did you read my post? Coming out of hospital is 5 seconds, loading a saved game is 2 minutes.

So, i finally got this game working despite buying it years ago. Anyway, if i do the Game -> Load option it takes way too long. I am certain that its not really "loading" but just making me wait (for what reason i know not). How can i avoid that nonsense?

Efficient replacement for "find"?

My group is having to do instances of find for a mod date on a filesystem with millions of files. A single "run" of this can take 10 hours. So, is there a more efficient option? Or is the call to "stat" going to always kill this kind of search? Thanks.

I think i just learned that im getting ripped off by Verizon. I pay $83/month with limited text (250/mo) and data (2GB) with unlimited talk. My power bill is consistently about $60/month.

Dont forget the facial expression tech they developed for HL2. That was, and still is, amazing tech. Even today, 12-13 years later, hacks have to use facial motion capture to rival what Valve did.
