I've used 2012 on 2 comps and haven't had any issues. Cloning went perfectly and backups have run fine. You can run incrementals/differentials and schedule backups too, which most free solutions won't let you do
I'm having a horrible time overclocking my 2500K on this board. The F6 notes show "better sandy bridge overclocking" with this update, so I'm hoping like hell this bios helps!
Thanks for all the replies. It's just going to be a test server to run Server 2008, test virtual configurations and possibly stream video throughout my house. I test everything now on my main comp, but that's getting old and I don't want to screw up it's configuration any more.
That Microcenter...
Hey all. I'm looking to build a budget server for testing and possibly some file serving as well. I haven't been in the AMD scene for quite awhile and was wondering if the Phenom still had enough teeth to compete with the newer cpus from AMD. I can get all three combos for around $150, but I...
There's one major caveat, though. RC 7100 is Windows 7 Ultimate. In order for this to work, you'll need to have an RTM Windows 7 Ultimate version. It will not work if you have the Professional version.
I hear ya. WoW has had me by the juevos since launch. I quit for about 8 months to really travel on my motorcycle, but I came back just as if I never left. :)
I just picked one of these up late last week. Waiting for my Q6700 and RAM to arrive to see what overclocks I can get on it. So far, the board has been very stable and overclocks my E6400 with ease, so I expect the same for the quad.
Playing WoW at 1920x1200 is playable, but FPS is definitely down. If I turn a few processes off and it raised the FPS quite a bit. I bought a pair of Corsair 2GB sticks no brainer. Any idea if 2x2GB plays well with 2x1GB sticks? Using this motherboard.
I'll definitely go 4GB. I'm upgrading a few things this weekend (vid, cpu, mobo) and was hoping I could install 64 bit Vista Enterprise instead of dual booting until I got more RAM.
been out of the upgrade game for a few years, so sorry if this is a silly question. Does anyone know if an Aerocool AeroPower II+ 550W PSU has the right connectors to power an Asus P5B-E or would I need to get a new one? Thanks.

Thank god they gave engineers a little break. I had no desire to lvl from 355 to 375. Too damn expensive and not enough good items to make it even worthwhile.
The fishing fixes are awesome! Fishing is the most boring thing about WoW. I guess I'll wait to lvl that until the patch. :)
I actually didn't install the shim. I just put the stock Accelero on and monitored temps. It works great and overclocks great on mine without it. Are there compelling reasons to use the shim?
