Also my brother's computer, which the Radeon HD 5670 was working in, was running Windows 7. I don't know if XP won't support a DX11 card or what but was just a thought.
Here's my current system.

Running Windows XP Pro SP3
The old video card's I was running were two...
Is it possible to remove the My Recent Documents option in the Start menu? I've always wondered if it was possble or not but didn't really know where to ask or find out.
Ok your confusing me. The casefan is pushing air into the case, the heatsink fan (which is parallel to the case fan) is pushing air out. My thought was that with the heatsink fan pushing air out I should have the case fan also pushing air out.
I was looking at my current setup with my case fans and it doesn't seem right to me so I thought I'd ask for opinions.
Currently I have 3 fans total in my case. One on my heatsink and two on the case. Currently the fan on the top of the case is pushing air out, which seems right to me. But...
I'm looking to replace my ATI Radeon 9600 Pro as it seems to be having some problems. Trying to spend 150-200 and I was just looking on bestbuy (only because I got gift cards for christmas) and I saw these two cards, same cards except one is AGP and one is PCI.
AGP
PCI
Now I dont...
Just got another stick of 512 for my comp so I have a gig now. I was curious if theres anyway to make sure that the dual channel is working. I looked my mobo manual and it said "It has to be the combination of DIMMA and DIMMB." So thats what I did, but is there anyway to see if its actually...
Yea my mouse keeps blinking like its loading a cd and I don't even have a cd in my drive. It just shows up for a quick second and then goes away, and then it does it again and again. Is this a sign of something? Say my cd drive is dying or something? It has been a little iffy on burning lately...
What kind of software is it going to come bundled with, like what would you say the best drive would be that would have like everything I need to get ripping and burning right from the start?
Im looking into getting a DVD Burner and haven't the slightest clue as to what im looking for. I was just curious if anyone had any favorites, or like whats the best one out there. Either that or the best and most resonable priced one. I tried used the search but didn't really come up with...
I read it as he was having problems with it not showing up when he was trying to do a fresh install of windows on it with nothing else. Also I wasn't sure if he meant that he was just hooking it up and running it seperatly with his old drive having the operating system on it.
If you read his first post he says that he has a new hard drive. That means that he can't do that unless he's just goes ahead sets up his new 200 GIG as a slave drive and then just uses his old drive as the main one. But if he's formatting new then he's gonna need to do what I said.
If you do what I said and format about 50 gigs or so and then install windwos and then install SP1 or SP2 then yes the remaining ammount of unformatted space will show up in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disc Management.
Look at this.
As you can see it states that NTFS is better for larger drives. FAT32 is meant for smaller drives.
*EDIT*
You cannot format a volume larger than 32 gigabytes (GB) in size using the FAT32 file system during the Windows XP installation process. Windows XP can mount and...
Ehh stick with NTFS. I honestly don't know the difference between the two but I know that NTFS is better...lol.
*EDIT*
Also note that you need to install SP1 or SP2 before you can do what I said.
Well what you do when you do get Windows running. Go Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disc Management. Once your in there it should show you a block of unformatted space something like 240 GIGs if you did the 50 gig thing I said on the install on Windows. Once your in...
Go ahead and format about 50 gigs or so of it and install Windows on it. Once you get that done and get Windows running install SP1 or SP2 whichever, they both will show it as 300 in the disc management.
Yea I knew it wouldn't really do much but I jus want to use it for the hell of it, and I need more memory for gaming.
But yea it is the same thing right? CAS 3 = CL3?
Back about a month or so ago I got a stick of Kingston 512MB PC-3200 CL3. Now with some of my tax refund I wanna get anothet stick of it so I can take advantage of the Dual Channel DDR that my mother board has.
So I went back to newegg where I had originally got the memory, did a search...
Oh crap, I had already started the formatting with c: set for the whole 131 gigs that it was showing. Is it bad to stop the formatting and restart and then format it again. Its currently at about 55% done formatting. Because what I wanted to do to begin with was make 4 50 gig partitions.
Installation Option 1. Upgrade the operating system to either Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 (or newer) or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (or newer) and download the Maxtor Big Drive Enabler software patch. The Maxtor Big Drive Enabler, once executed, will update the Windows registry for large...
Question
I have a drive that is larger than 137 GB but the operating system only recognizes 128 GB or 137 GB. How can I fix this?
Answer
Problem
The full capacity of ATA drives larger than 137GB is not recognized by the operating system.
Solution
Currently, there are three...
Yes it came with the hard drive, but how would I use that? I don't got windows installed on the drive yet. Or do you mean like going ahead and formatting and installing windows on the current 131 gigs and then using the disk which Im assuming has some sort of tool that will make it recognize...
So do you mean to go ahead and format that 131 gigs and get windows running and then install SP1 and then go into the disk management and do what exactly. I know I can format and partition from there but how would I do that, I mean wouldn't it delete the windows installation if i formatted it or...
