yah you got alot of power sucking there. UNplug your optical drives, un plug your 120 mm fans, unplug your 250 unless its the booting drive.. down the power as much as possible and try again.

What do u have in your rig, hardrives cd roms leds, cathorays? You might be unstable with power to over clock. i sugesst trying to unplugg the cd-roms leds extra fans and then see ifyou can boot up. Also it could be the antec. Look at this link...

whats your power supply. I have tested this issue with a 350. If i overclock to much with my 350 i ahve stabalilty issues. WHen i put the antec 550 in i can push t harder and faster and its stable. Does yours not boot or does it just crash randomly??

With the new 90nm cores the stock coolign keeps them really cool. I do suggest if you dont have an intake or exhausst fans, to get one of each for optimal circulation in the case. RIght now i ahve mine up to 2.2 on stock and it runs low 40s easily, I will eb gettign it up to 2.5 and will fin...

i agree with ts3433, it sounds liek daveshel is having a HTT or LDT issue where the memory is not runing an its most efficancy step. The HTT probalby is at 5 right now, maybe lower but set it to 4 and your comptuer shoudl bootup. Keep our multiplier at 9, up yoru fsb to 220 then put your HTT...

I do belive so, i have the 3000+ (1.8) winchester and i knwo ti can oc easier then the 3500 and you can get the 3000 up to the 3500 and higher perfectly stable. Anyone think other wise?

hmm so are you going to buy a new one then? Hopefully its not yoru cpu as well. Just a warning about your Antec true power supply, there are soem issues with abit, asus, and msi with antec trueseries with thier older models. Go here and you will understand more...

Yah fans are about 3-5 watts and the cathode more, so turn off as much as possible. Is it possible that you added the cathode later and then the problem started to happen? Or did you always have the cathode, or maybe you added a fan. One of those things will put you over the limit if you are...

SATA master drive, took out IDE slave, won't boot.

yup if you have the WD as the master and the main boot diskj and you tell windows to install on the sata it will put the boot.ini and some other file son the WD and with out it it will fail. I did this before back in the days when i had 8 hd in my machine back in the day when 4 gigs were...

I dont think that from a 754 3000 to a socket 939 2.4 will give a significant differnce for the price. However with the 939 you can always upgrad to a fx if need be and the new cores are being developed on it. BUt for the price i dont tihnk tis worht it... unless you got cash liek some peopel do.

is it windows XP or windows 2K you are installing if so ntfs, its more secure and peopel can argue but faster in a certain sence. fat32 was meant for win 95,98,ME. BUt you can do it if you want. IS this hardrive going to stay in your computer or go voyaging to other peopels who have windows...

Check to see if the motherbaord supports that large of a stick.. usualyl you can findout on the internet, or in the manual if you got one. Some computers only allow up to 512 per slot, or 512 in total, depends on the age of the machien and type. FInd the manual or find it online

IS the windows now booting on the new sata or still on the IDE. Not clear if you took that hardrive out completely or if you took it out re wired it then put it back together
