Valid point. Luckily this MB has the 4 memory slots, so I will just stick in another 16 GB, if I see that I need. I was trying to keep the initial cost down with the 16.

Does anybody know of a method to monitor a directory, and if a file lands in that directory kick off a script? I would like to avoid using cron if possible, and make the file arrival the trigger a action rather than cron running a script to process the file. Thanks, JD

Is there any type of software that I can use to automatically send an email based? For example, I would like to check for a file every so often, and if that file exists email it to my self. I can write a batch file to do the checking, but I am not sure how to email the file in the background...

I am replacing my current system drive (40GB) with a new 160GB drive and reinstalling windows. Should I partition the drive, installing Windows on one partition and using the other for data or just use it as one big drive? Would it be a good idea to put the page file on its own partition...

I use it. For me is a great way to manage my music. It allows me to sort, search and burn CDs (I think you need the nero burning ROM). It allows you to change and modify tags as well. JD

I would like to upgrade my current Kodak 3.1 MP camera. My requirements: 4MP or more. needs to use SD memory cards price $250 - $350. Mostly used for snapshot type photography. Zoom is not a major issue, image quality would be biggest factor. Any ideas? Thanks! JD
