well, one friend has the $17, but they admit it' probably a mistake on comcast's part... the other person has the $17, but they want to know why we aren't getting it... it's not me who's really crazy to lower the price (i already had to call the cable company and asked all sorts of questions)...

both houses are in montgomery county maryland (we are in germantown, they are in rockville) same company-- comcast...i called company on if there's difference in the price depending on city within the same county, they said for montogmery county there is no difference.

i live in germantown, md and our cable tv bill is ~$40 for "basic preferred" but i found out some people (they live in rockville, md) have been able to get the same channels for $17 with the same cable company. neither of us has the really special channels like hbo or the showtime and junk...

a question on cell phones and technologies

Umm, could someone tell me what at&t, cingular, verizon, voicstream, sprint, etc use for their phones? (tdma, cdma, gsm...) and if they will acquire gsm technology soon? I really want to use the little nokia 8290, but the only carrier over here in Maryland is Voicestream and I hope that...

The Biotechnology Vendor showcase is back at UCLA for the fall quarter again and once again they are giving out free samples of lab supplies and stuff out to people ^_^ Heck, they even list the free food there this time (it the first time I've seen it like this) I've previously posted...

Be careful about the violin...if you're getting it for your kids, then make sure the kid can use it. (4/4 is a full size violin...the largest size for a violin) if your kid can barely reach the finger spots, then you'd need to wait for awhile...

i can only think that the one in gaithersburg is close enough for me...though i wish there was adeal like last year where if you buy something online then yuo get 20 dollars off and then use it to buy a gift certificate and then use it to renew your memebership...oh well.

i used the greenpoints coupon once and got the 6 stamps/stickers and would like to know what to do with them. Do I now ask for a card (do i need to pay for the club card(?) ) and should i bring the stamps with me if i get the promo when i go in to buy the 3 subs? thanks

DvTool help please

Hi, I'm sorry, but I am trying to copy a dvd to a cd and one of the things i need is DvTool. However, after i downloaded it, I tried to open the zip file, but the thing said the archive is false or bad. My winZip is okay, so is there any other way to get dvtool or could someone help me? thank you

get the special order number for the agp card from staples, and find a site that does not "say" oem on the website. staples pricematched it for me...but then i bought it in november...by the way, those who got in on the 3dfx $50 rebate, it finally came in for me so they do eventually...

why are so many decent things going downhill?

Is it just me or is nice things lately are going out of business? for example: outpost.com no longer provides free shipping unless it's over 100 dollars; buy.com is shrinking, not to mneition a bunch of others =( oh well. must be me. could someone explain to me, please? thank you
