Remote HDTV from PC

Thanks for those leads. I looked into those but it seems that none will stream HDTV in 1080i. I guess residential technology for HDTV and PC-HDTV needs to catch up.

PCI Express Bus Speed

Actually, 2500 PCIe Bus speed is normal in NTune. I Run mine at 2800 stable with (2) 6800GT's.

I answered my own question. The F3 at the end of the part number is only for a packaging change. The cards are identical so they will work in SLI together. :-)

My case too hot

I added an 80mm intake fan in the lower front edge of the side window. The case IDLES at about 76degF the processor idles 36C now!! During heavy games the case can get up to about 98F and the CPU gets to about 51C with a CPU fan speed of about 3000. I use the Asus Q-Fan that adjust fan speed...

Well, the case came with one 80mm and I added a second rear 80mm. Since the temp dropped by about 30 F with the side panel opened about 1/4" I figured that there is not enough air coming into the case....the case is under a vacuum; more air going out than can get in. I really like the look of...

A8N-SLI Deluxe Too many buttons!!!

My case too hot

Yeah it looks nearly impossible to stick a fan up behind the front bezel. Also the front bezel intake slots are real small. I think I'll cut a hole in the window low and forward for a 120mm fan and add a filter of some sort to it so I dont suck too much dust in. Anyone recommend a QUIET 120mm...

My case too hot

My case temp was running up into the 140's F !! I opened the side a little (1/2") and the temp went down to about 105F. This is during gaming. I run a PSU with 2 fans in it and (2)80mm rear fans. All fans blowing out and back. Obviously, the case is not allowing enough cool air drawn in...

IDE Raid Drive Setup

Yes you can add non-RAID drives to the "middle" connector on the IDE cables even on a RAID setup. I have two 120 Masters on the ends of IDE0 and IDE1 set in RAID Stripe, a 40gig drive slave on IDE0 mid-cable, and a CD/DVD smoker mid-cable slave on IDE1. It worked fine.

solved: Pleez, need Help with PC build, not seeing drives.

SOLVED: Boss had the jumper on the IDE drive set wrong. Boss had plugged in BOTH power cords to the SATA drive! He was the one that wanted to assemble it....dont flame me for it. LOL. No wonder I couldn't detect the drives when loading software!! DOH!

XFX is total crap...

I am running my XFX 6800GT at 375/1010 and score near 65,000 Aquamark on the A8N-SLI with 2x512 RAM, AMD64 3500+, stock OC other than the vid card. My XFX has no issues and runs clean and clear. XFX even answered my email before I bought the card. I just wanted to see how long it took them...

A8N-SLI Deluxe 1003 Final

Backing up a RAID0 array?

I have two 120G ATA133 drives in RAID0 and want to take an image of the array and store it on my 40G single, storage IDE drive. I used to use Norton Ghost 2002 for non-RAID backups. What software should I get to image the RAID0 array? Thanks.

6800 GT SLI enabled

Yes the slots (connector) are on top of the "SLI" cards but from what I have read not ALL of the cards with the slots on top are certified to run SLI. Although back on topic, XFX lists the 6800 GT as SLI ready. I emailed XFX tech support just to see if they actually reply.

What is wrong with building an SLI sytem?

Hmmm....spend it on Beer and Strippers or build an "experimental" SLI PC? My wife says build the PC. Since I already finished building my Turbo Z I need another "wholesome" money pit. That pretty much sums it up for me.
