A8N-SLI Deluxe SATA II support & command queuing

I managed to get my hitachi function in sata II 3G mode. I ran HDtach and it showed even lower performance when 3G mode was enabled than with 1,5G mode, random access dropped by 1ms and average read was also lower. Burst speed almost doubled to 231MB/s. By the way, what is "Spread Spectrum...

A8N-SLI Deluxe SATA II support & command queuing

I just got new Hitachi 250GB SATAII hard drive (T7K250) and installed it. I'm using nVidia nforce 6.53 driver and nvidia's ide driver. Device manager says that transfer mode is "Serial ATA Generation1 - 1,5G", WHY?? Shouldn't it be "Generation2 - 3GB" like this new HD should be?? Or do I have to...

Im using ASUS Probe to monitor my computers temperatures. Where does motherboards temperature actually come? Is there some kind of sensor in the northbridge or where does it read the temp??!

Zalman ZM-NB47J & ASUS A8N-SLI temperatures?

Different voltage readings in BIOS & ASUS Probe

I get 11,8V on +12V rail in BIOS but in Windows I get only 11,5V on +12V Rail using ASUS Probe. Which one should I believe? Is it possible that the +12V voltage drops when you get into Windows... Is there some device that could be causing such behaviour, what could it be, fan or something? I...

Beta BIOS 1004.001 for ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe

replying to my own message... =) anyways... 1004.001 isn't on the ftp anymore. It was there 15 minutes ago, i swear! But I think it will be released officially very soon... I don't understand why ASUS is switching those BIOS files around. They did the same thing with 1003. First it was available...

A8N-SLI: good power supplies (list and links).

I have Antec Sonata Piano Black with supplied TruePower 380W PSU. So far I haven't ran into any kind of troubles with it. My mobo is ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, 1GB RAM, 2x6600GT (SLI), 3 Hard drives and DVD. Voltage monitor is giving me 11,712 for +12v, 4,945 (+5V), 3,248 (+3,3V). What do you think...

A8N-SLI Deluxe 1003 Final

I was using BIOS 1003.007 but I wasn't able to upgrade my BIOS to 1003 final using ASUS Update Windows Utility. When I chose Update BIOS from file and tried to flash I got an error: "Fail to reserve dmi data in EEPROM". I had to save 1003 to floppy disk > boot > and press alt-F2. That way I got...

Beta BIOS 005 causes these POST problems. I had them too and only way to fix it was to reflash back to 1002 using floppy disk! Bytheway ASUS released beta BIOS 1003.007 yesterday! I just flashed my mobo and it seems to be running fine, don't know what's changed...(?) Download here...
