    You could. They sell insulation for smokers: http://www.amazon.com/Smokehouse-Products-Electric-Insulation-Blanket/dp/B001Y9HSKG I'd imagine the cheaps ones need it for winter smoking. I used my WSM all winter, held times great for up to 7-8 hours. Even smoked a ham on it for Christmas...

    to me, they taste similar to catfish, which also eat basically everything ie bottom feeders. Best to put them in a stock tank or something for a day or two and let them filter out the nastiness.

    as far as eating carp, they are known for having lots of bones. Even if you fillet them, you will still have to deal with bones. If you pickle them, or cook them long enough, the bones become soft and you can eat them.

    What was your first job?

    farm help on family farm. Did that through grade/middle/high school.

    CompE. Made 48K my first year out, in 2005. This year I am already over 80K, but that is mostly due to the insane amount of overtime. @40hr/wk I would probably be around 65K.
