NIC not in network connections menu, but internet works

SM3.0 is all hype and shouldn't affect anyone's buying decision. It doesn't make things look any better, it's just supposed to perform better than SM2.0. (which you can see by looking at benchmarks) Stick with what you have, or look around for an x800xt/x850xt - they're the fastest agp cards...

Looking for a low wattage video card

You might have to go PCI. Look for a card that doesn't requre a heatsink and it shouldn't use much power. I found a couple of ATI rage 8mb cards on pricewatch for under $20, but you should be able to find them cheaper used.

1 gb of ocz $69 AR

That's the same model number of my ocz value ram.. Mine does 250mhz (500ddr) at cas 2.5 and 280mhz (560ddr) at cas3 all at 2.7v. Everyone says I'm lucky, but if I had to buy some more value ram, this would be it.

Quake 4 sucks.

And I think stupid fools suck :) A 9800 pro is faster than an fx5950 ultra in the doom3 engine and you should be getting an average of at least 45fps at 800x600. I think it's about time you sold your computer and bought an xbox. We of course would not be missing you from the internet.

I'd look around for an x800xt/x850xt (PE) They've been selling used for around $250 or less. The 6800 ultra is only faster than them in opengl games: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050705/vga-charts-pcie-08.html And of course, the x800's will kill the 6800's in directx games...
