Upgrading firmware does not necesarily mean chaning manufacurer names. The firmware upgrade did take place CORRECTLY since the first one I started with was something like 3.0e or something like that and after the flash the drive firmware in the DEVICE MANAGER stated that it was 3.27...

clonecd does not recognize the drive as a compatible drive to start with so I can't even burn anything using clonecd. I checked the log and tried rescaning the ide/scsi bus but still no luck. the clonecd won't even let me burn. :( :( :(
