Jiggz had the answer :D. it was the bios setting. But even after i got the mobo to recognize the raid array, it refused to reinstall windows, so i ended up getting an old drive i had sitting around, installing windows on that, then moving everything I needed from the raid array to that drive...

why does my laptops K/B

If you rest your palms on a touchpad, your palms will move the arrow, and if you apply extra pressure at all, it'll register it as a tap sometimes and click, therefore moving your cursor to wherever your mouse is. i dare you to try and type without resting your palms on the touchpad. I'm 95%...

That's utterly impossible. You're lucky if you can get your 7800GT to go to 1.3, but 2.4? that's just insane... *downloads drivers to see if they work on his 7800GT* :P EDIT: The 7900GTX only has a 1.7 mem speed doesn't it?

dude, you're getting a dell. seriously, there's NO WAY you can put together a rig that'll do anything for only $250. Even dell doesn't make comps that cheap. Get the $300 dell which comes with a monitor and you'll be all set. EDIT: also, do you have any idea how expensive watercooling...

In my opinion, the better IQ and HDR+AA capabilities of the x1900 outweigh the cons. I say stick with the x1900.

Correct. If you want to help him out even more, tell him not to waste his money on 2 7600 series cards and tell him to spend it on 1 good card. SLI still has alot of limitations, and you'd get more bang for your buck if you get 1 better card (I hear the Voltmodded and Overclocked 7900GT kicks...

Under most circumstances yes that is correct. However, say you have 2 7950GX2's and you're running 32X SLI AA, then you might see an improvement with 16x16.
