I would be protesting years before it got to that point, starting with civilian surveillance programs which is infrastructure designed to take away basic human rights.

Give it some time we will see Obama's approval ratings trailing in the 40s. I think by the end of his 4 years I would expect him to be somewhere near 35-45% approval. This is because a lot of the moderates and republicans that he swayed to vote for him, are increasingly becoming dissatisfied...
Unfortunately I think we will not stay out of it. The high ranking military leadership is looking at this as a once in a life time chance to have regime change in Iran.
I think there is no question the U.S. would try to siphon arms from Afghan or Iraqi army units. Have an inside person that is either Iraqi or Afghan doing the face to face arrangements with Iranian protesting groups.
