    I've never seen a CPU Pin break like this

    Its never happened to me, but I have seen people with this problem. Most of the time, its cause but the heatsink getting stuck to the CPU and when you try to pull it off, the CPU comes with (without releasing the locking lever). Good luck, it sounds like you actually have a chance!

    Whoa... PCPC are ultra quiet. I pull over 400W out of my silencer 750 at full load and the thing is whisper quiet. The turbo-cool ones are the loud ones. Most importantly... single 12V rail on the PCPC. No worries about overloading a 12V rail.

    The lower fps when overclocking the memory I could undertand, the GPU probably increases the latency. But the lower fps after increasing the clock speed on the GPU... that just doesn't make sense to me.

    I wouldn't rely on a Socket A cooler on a K8. Mind you the power ratings are similar. My greater concern would be the contact and pressure exerted on the cpu. Get yourself a 10$ K8 cooler or an OEM K8 cooler off ebay for cheap.

    That would be Clear CMOS... do that. Or unplug computer and remove the small battery for 10 minutes or so as well as changing that jumper from pin 1-2 to 2-3 for 10 seconds. Leave your video card in, that will also prevent it from posting, but at that point you will get a post beep error.

    X2 6400+ and 8800GT

    From what i've seen, those PSUs are pretty good. I wouldn't be too concerned with it. My rig in my sig below pull about 400W on full load. The only thing you have to worry about would be overloading a rail, as that PSU does not have a single 12V rail.
