I don't mean that there was a "B" on the packaging I mean when you open up Asusupdate prog in windows the model number is listed as "A8NSLI-B" on mine hence it won't accept any bios currently out for deluxe because the model numbers don't tally.
I'm using Asus flash utility and I've downloaded all the recent bios's and the prog tells me the model of the Bios image doesn't match the Bios Rom currently present ???
Have I got some strange Beta revision board ?
Because the "Model" should be A8N-SLI according to all the new bios's
I'm buying this for my XFX 6600gt ASAP. the only thing thats making any significant noise in my case is the graphics card ! so the old heatsink has to go - the Zalman looks like a very well made bit of kit and and it has 4 settings for voltage to the fan so you can settle on the noise level /...
This XFX fan is faaaar too loud it ruins my whole set-up ! - everything else is whisper quiet.
It seems that they only make them for the 6800 or the 5900 why have they missed out 6600 's ????

I second the XFX choice - mines running lovely. doesn't get too hot like everyone seemed to be saying about the originals. I think they improved the heatsink at some point.
My Auto settings for Ram make my stystem totally unstable with 2 sticks at DDR400 - largely to do with Voltage - Auto is 2.6v I needed to put it to 2.65V and everything seems fine now.
Maybe this is why alot of people's systems are crashing when they leave everthing stock in Bios + and they...
OK just to update here - I changed voltage on DDR from Auto(2.6v) to 2.65v and pushed the ram onto DDR400 all is now stable.
Is it just me or are these "Auto settings" terrible at adjusting to all my components !!

I've just put a Zalman passive blue heatsink on it last night. and no crashes so far (with plenty of half life 2 play!) but to touch it does seem a little hot. it fits perfectly between the 2 graphics cards if you were to use SLI mode.
