I work in 3d animation and archviz. Believe me I did the research - This is the cheapest way to really help my performance. You can get some cheap 4gb of old ram and its still way faster than a raptor. I just need to know when where how why they are available. Its such a good idea, if Gigabyte...
I agree those old "style" keyboards have the best feedback for typing. However, I still prefer my MS natural "split" - It just eliminated those red painful palms I used to always get. Also I think the split shape really adds to the typing experience and makes it fun (yes fun) to write stuff...
Ok - HAve found the culprit. (no thanks to tech support at Razer who sent me a few precomposed automated replies mentioning some fixes coming up in future driver packs)
The issue: the original windows mouse control center still applies even after full Razer customizer install. Having...
The shape (took me a while to realize) is intended for only two fingers over the top of the mouse - instead of the standard three on other mice. No room for three fingers to rest on the top. Other than that the mouse sits really low and flat on the pad - Is it supposed to be aerodynamic ...
Basically - about to get second monitor and wondering if it will be possible to use the 90 degree flip - on one monitor in the dual setup while leaving the second as it is.
I'm using ati 9800 pro at the moment.
Well as for the keyboard - I used to suffer as u describe but it all ended as soon as I got one of those ergonomic keyboards (yes the ugly one with the split keyboard and the huge hand rest). The one I have is by microsoft but i'm sure u can find others. The split keys setup is strange for the...
Yes.
I really believe the mouse pad (assuming you have a decent mouse) and chair you use are two of the most influencial variables to a computing experience. Anyone who says they don't use a pad just hasn't tried using a good one. It makes a big difference. same goes for the chair.
Got the steelpad S&S a couple weeks ago. Very nice - comes with "pad surfers" (teflon mouse feet) and case. It was very good out of the box and keeps getting better with use - - mouse glides very smooth ( in a good way) and very precise as well. I have always used a cloth top pad and was...
Well, The owner huh?
I though it was just someone on their payrol.
Anyways, I think this sort of activity only gives companies a bad name and turns people off. If on the other hand this "slick" person were to identify himself as an employee of (or indeed owner in this case) a certain...
hmmm......slickdude uses slicksurf ....... and joins now just in time to reply to your question....... what a coincidence eh? and what a surprise - he loves them, they work great and last forever.....
This might help - if not theres others like it that might.

You might want to try what is described in this discussion first though.

Thanks Mem - I enjoyed reading that. I do wonder though - the front bottons seem smaller than on my current mouse.....which by the way looks nothing like the IME 3 that's seen in the article....
As to comfort - yes it is subjective but I would like to hear people's subjective views on...
So you have funky designs? or you wonder if that would help?
Try a neutral surface - like the back of a cloth hard cover book
See if your cord isn't moving the mouse and install the drivers - no good? get it replaced.
Firstly: thank you!
Nice tip even though its a bit annoying to go and reassign each Favicon. Anyway at least I know whats happening.
Strange thing though - the first time this happened (that I noticed) was when a while ago I had an electrical explosion in the house which caused the...
Yes, digitizer pad is nice and useful for a bunch of tasks (have one in the studio) - however - most of my work is 3d animation - and I just need a good light mouse most of the time.
Anyone have an answer to my previous question?
While my "Favorites" in explorer are fine - their icons dissapear every so often - and all become the same explorer icon. Not a big problem but i'm worried this might indicate a bigger problem waiting to happen.
If anyone knows how to fix it or just set my mind at ease as to why this is going...
Question:
What DPI (400 or 800) did my Intellimouse Explorer 3.0A have?
What value in the windows driver for "mouse speed" fully utilizes the scanning of the above intellimouse?
Well. at least you got over your fear of "screwing it up".
The sad thing is that it's not even a secret - it's just not mentioned on the official spec sheet. Since when you call tech support all you get is someone putting you on hold while they go and fetch this very same sheet of paper -...
Thanks for your responses!
ok, thing is, i'm wondering about the weight - how light is the MX510 (compared to intelli and razer) i've heard all MX models are heavy....any truth to that?
Does the 510 have teflon feet? if not could anyone name a place where they bought a set (which set do...
I am a graphic deisgner and my mouse (intelli optical) is acting like its about to die.
I really appreciate lighness, smooth motion, accuracy and most of all comfort in the hand. Will be using a 1600 by 1200 res and up.
I was quite happy with the intellimouse but it tended to collect grit...
I dunno man, pics (photographs) can be misleading. I mean looking at the photograph you took of your Dell monitor - the only point of comparison is the Nec next to it. If that wasn't there I'd have not have gotten any information out of those "pics" and even that isn't too serious a comparison -...
I checked the C220P (as I said in different thread) and it was beautiful but lacked contrast and deep blacks. Had to reject. Could this be caused by videocard at all (brighness at 0 and contrast at 100 and still no blacks)??
I have the opportunity to get a LACIE ELECTRON BLUE 4 22inch - It's...
Well - just returned from testing the C220P.
Phisically - the thing is beautiful unobtrusive and quite prefect - for what thats worth. Really - any pics you might see on the net don't do it justice - Ive never seen such a beutiful piece of kit.
The screen is absolutely flat.
First...
Heres what the real answer from Nec / Mitsubishi should read:
"There is still a substantial market demand for CRT products, for their superior image quality. Nec-Mitsubishi has, however, halted all CRT production as of Dec. 2004. The reason for this is that CRT monitors are significantly...
Well, I would not put too much importance on what a live chat tech support or just general tech support from nec mitsubishi has to say - from my experience it's just someone sitting infront of a spec sheet with no added knoledge whatsoever - just mouthing away things like "recommended...
Do try the anti EMI stuff as well.
aside from the focus - You should be able to get Black blacks and white whites on that Nec - and everything in between. If not - you definitely should send it back for replacement. RMA means - Return Merchandise Authorization - referring to the terms...
u should try everything in my earlier post - gaming apps (or games for short eh?) usually consist of colors - which require only 1 or 2 of the RGB components to converge - where as text (black on white) and reversed text (white on black) require for all RGB components to converge accurately...
Sitting 6 inches away from a 20 inch monitor. Talk about immersive gameplay.
I can see why he doesn't want a widescreen monitor. He'd have to swing right and left all the time to catch it all.
I mean, 1. youre very young and I don't remember suffering eye strain from monitors at 17 either. Ten
years on I can definitely tell its harmful.
2. you definitely have your eyes way to near to the monitor and I just hope youre not causing...
virtualgames0 - I didn't see you saying you had the P275 - another thread maybe?
What monitor do you have now, why did you change, and, how do they compare?
thanks.
