Have you tried pluuging your SATA drives into ports 3 (and 4 if you have multiple) of the nVidia RAID controller? Once I did that, I've never had another problem with them.

what psu for a8n-sli deluxe is everyone using?

I have the neo power and a dual 6600GT setup - no problems. Also running 2 Maxtor SATA dirves, one IDE drive, Plextor 716 DVD+-RW, Liteon DVD-ROM. 2x512 Corsair XMS memory. 3200+ proc.

New nForce 4 drivers released

I just installed them (didn't uninstall anything first) on my Maxtor Diamond Max 200GB drives last night, set up in a stripe array. I did not install the nVidia IDE driver or the network drivers. NCQ was still disabled after install. Enabled it through device manager, have had no issues so far...

Hook up fan to mobo or PSU

I've got an AMD64 3200 on an Asus A8n-SLI deluxe in a Super Lanboy case, using the Antec Neopower 480 PSU. (Also running dual MSI 6600GT's in SLI mode). The case has a 120mm front and rear Antec case fans. Looking for the best way to hook up some new fans I bought...

A call for ANYONE who has Maxtor NCQ drives working with A8N-SLI Deluxe

Stick with the 1.2 BIOS and NCQ off for now, and things should work fine. Waiting for a bios update to finally fix whatever is wrong so we can enable NCQ and upgrade to the latest BIOS.

a8n sli asus goes blue minidump screen then reboots.

Man, that's weird. Maybe you fried something during install or OC, (did you use a static wrist strap?) Maybe you should pull the mobo out completely and see if that helps (maybe something shorting out on the case??). Also, have you tried a single card install in each of the PCIe slots? Maybe...

What's the verdict for ASUS A8N-SLI and Maxtor Maxline III HD's?

A8N-SLI Deluxe 1003 Final

I have the same problem!!! Went back to 1002 and still couldn't get my maxtor diamond max SATA50 200gb drive w/ 16MB buffer to come back on SATA1. I ended up connecting to ports 3 and 4 and reloading my system. Works ok for now. I thought that port 1 was bad, and have started the RMA process...
