It says error loading os not os error after verifying DMi Pool Data
I went to install xp and it has my ide 80 gig as my d: drive and my 250gig sata drive as my c:? Is this what is causing the problem and how do I change that around?
Ok here is the issue. I took out one of my ide backup drives and installed an additional sata drive for backup. The computer currently has
1x 80gb boot
2x250 backup
it will boot to the verifying screen and then say os error?
This is a little confusing and i really dont want to...
Thanks I have 3 boxes that dump on the same day for fad so I get lucky sometimes when everyone else has a bad day. Dimes is interesting as I really have no idea how it calculates points at all. Its all for a good cause keep up the good work team.
Ive been running it since the 5th and havent noticed that it really effects my fad production so i think i will keep up the effort. May add a few other boxes to the mix as well. Thanks for the stats.
well it has an ecs 741gx-m motherboard that has the ability to oc if you want to and a western digital 40gig hd...not bad for under $200 especially for something that is going to sit in my closet headless and crunch 24/7...if it dies then i buy another one.
lol yeah i know so would you think that I would easily be able to reformat and install any os i want? He seemed to think there was a firmware that stopped people from doing that...i guess i can always take it back...
I was checking out frys today and saw a very cheap computer that doesn't have much a sempron 2200. I was talking with the salesman and he told me that you couldn't format and install any other os but Lindows? Does anyone have any experience with this machine and the upgradability of the OS...
Why cant you have a sata drive as a slave? The reason I ask is because I have my 250gig sata maxtor as a slave actually it is the 3rd drive in my system. The other 2 being pata drives?
Just wondering because maybe I have my system setup wrong or something?
I am now out of wu on my 2nd machine and wondering how to go about getting new ones from a que or from anywhere really. What do I need to do to keep crunching it is hurting my daily average a lot.

a little bump i found and installed a version of the catalyst drivers that seem to work but the scroll speed in IE is awful and seems like the driver is not installed. Is the best remedy to install a different vid card?
I am trying to install the vid driver for my ATI 8500 card in my win64 system. I keep getting a inf file missing error...what driver version should I be using I have tried the latest one from ati to no avail.
Any help is greatly appreciated
I would have to say that your cpu is holding back your 6800gt or possibly the memory bus. Another thought would be making sure you have the latest drivers for your 6800 installed and nothing is interfering with it.
Those are loooow scores for a 6800gt. I only have a 9700pro and I beat you...
actually reread your first post and now can say disregard what I said in the last post.
You said it has been this way since you got it...where did you get the hd froma nd what are the numbers on the casing of the hd?
Are you using winxp? If so have you installed sp1 or sp2? If not do so now and you should be good to go. It sounds like a fresh install on the drive just upgrade to the sp2 and the windows will see the whole drive. There is a 130gig limit in winxp until sp1 was released.
Just install sp2 for winxp and you will have your drive back. There is a size limit for winxp of 130gigs before you install the sp1 I believe. Just use the repartition tool in windows and you will have your full size drive
