well to update ...i just installed F13 bios on my GIGABYTE K8NS PRO from F6 and the best i can set memory is 183Mhz, ahh well at least its better than 166Mhz previously.

has anyone managed to get 2 sticks of memory working on this board using bios F10 or above? mine only seems to detect 2 sticks of memory at 166Mhz.

i think im just gonna have to accept that i cant run my 2 sticks of ram at 200mhz.....so im sticking with my ram at 166mhz and F6 bios cos its been really stable at least...i suppose theres not much to be gained by it being at 200mhz anyway

this is a reply i got about f10 bois Hi, There is no known issue on the F10 BIOS. After flashing please set the "Load Optimised Default" in the main BIOS. Below is a link to infomation and PDF download on how to update the Flash Bios using the 3 different methods...

i too can confirm that f10 bios is awful...my comp wouldnt even boot, tried loading optimised defaults, resetting cmos etc..nothing woould save so i went back to my trusty f6...not tried f7-f9 but after my last experience with f10 i think ill stick with what ive got.... BTW f6 used to let me...

cheap infineon ram has worked for me, 2 sticks at 200mhz, very stable can play doom3 for hours on end and prime 95 runs for hours no errors athlon 64 3400+ k8ns pro 2sticks 512MB infineon ram 6800gt XPpro sp2 EZcool 550w PSU
