Think i might switch to the SATA1 (the Nvidia one) set it to SATA mode and set "Raid Enabled" to Disable under NVRAID Configuration and Disable the Slilcon SATA Controller.
that should do the prick?
I got a Segate SATA HDD off 1 of the Silicon Controller port too
So basically, if u have just 1 SATA drive off any of the controller (SATA or NV)
u can disabled both RAID controllers?

My A8N-SLI System from a shop has a single SATA drive on the Silicon Controller
If I have to re-install windows xp would I need to create/use a driver disk?
Also because its on the Silicon Controller I won't need to install the Nvidia IDE drivers?

Getting a pretty basic configuration:
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, 1xGeForce 6600GT etc
