any good headsets out there?

I own them....reallllllly good. great value too. they've taken a beating too! (i'm sorry!!!) The sound quality is excellent, and the mic is real nice too. Very comfortable. edit: I got mine for $40 on amazon.

Ultra X-Connect 500W failed me twice in a row!

Well I got mine for $30, pretty cheap, so I just got one. It's not being stressed and I've only had it a week and a half but no problems at all. In fact, it's awesome for me.

got 5.6, have sen minor gains on higher resolutions with AA/AF on with a 9800 pro. Haven't run 3dmark, never will, tells lies imo.

How much does your case cost?

$40 for a Chenming 301 w/ 350W PSU and without a lower fan cut in the side window. Piece of junk imo....was okayish for a whil, hard installl.....mehhh...

Gaming Headset with Mic

I have PC-150's.....AWESOME STUFF. Really, I got them for $35 off amazon, see if you can pull something off like that too. Really, the quality if kickass, no certain range sticks out a ton, and the really low bass is actually audible for one and not ignored. Great stuff.

Thermalright XP-120 or Zalman CNPS7700-Cu?

Consider an XP-90C as well, even if 80mm fans are typically louder w/ less airflow. They do a pretty good job for about that price range. I'd go with the 7700 just because it's copper though. Close one there.

Suggestions for an HDTV

Panasonic makes awesome quality - beats out nearly everyone, even Sony runs for their money on this one. I don't know the exact model, but we got a Panasonic 42" something.....3 tuners, KICK ASS lol. No wonder my dad won't let me upgrade my comp - we're broke! *runs*

High, but stable, idle temps Barton 3200+

My Athlon XP ("The Heater") for some reason decided to idle at 68*C. I vacuumed it out today. It was earlier 69*C. Under load it happily hits 75ish. Damned thing, honestly, this thing is so gonna catch fire one day. And yes, my side is off. Your temps are perfect. I had to disable my shutdown...

New computer for multitasking

What kind of specs do you need? It looks like an XP 2500+, 512MB PC3200, and maybe something cheapo like a radeon 9500 pro would work. It should work to be about $300 w/ PSU but w/o case.

Slow scrolling and draggin stuff with 9800 Pro with a 3d app in background.

My 9800 pro does that, but actually not very often on Catalyst 5.4. My PC3200 RAM does run at PC1600 though, which probably causes it, as well as a proccy (athlon 2400+ xp) that hits 70+ with ease. Also, a mobo that is total junk (ECS K7VTA3 rev 8)

Temps or Vcore, what'll kill my CPU?

Nice OC, the most I can get out of mine is about 2150MHz. I think both kills, you increase temp with more volts I think. Your CPU shouldn't die too soon, my friend does a similar thing with his VCore and it has been stable for about a year, with about a 20% OC. (on a pentium though)

over heating?

Let's put it this way....my CPU now urns hotter since I changed 2-->4 function/sec in the BIOS. Idles at 63, load at about 78. Your temps are fine. ;)

What do you guys think of this case?

My cheapo Chenming 301 (at the time was cheapo) with a 350W PSU worked perfectly. No trouble except temps. It looks like it'd be okay for your system. I'm concerned about build quality w/ this one though.

Help me with my Fan layout

I'd reverse the 120 mm one so it'd cool the hd and some of the other heat could go to the video card....then the air would continue off to be sucked by the back fan. I dunno, test and check.

hahaha......same here, except 71ish. under systool calculating a looped 8 million pi digits for somewhat 16 horus it hit 76..... try an external heat sensor device.

Explain this

that's OC'd a lot. My card can only hit 470/405, which is actually good for a 9800 pro, but I still think a 6600GT would be faster in real gaming. Still pretty funny to see. Nice comparison lol....made me laugh a bit.

I highy agree...a GeForce2 won't run too much today, you may as well start saving up for another card, unless you are planning on keeping this for a long while to come because you don't play games often or you are trying to make an OC record on it. (Yes! I hit 250/250! lol).

Where to connect temperature diodes on MB?

On the heatsink for the CPU I think, I could be wrong. For the actual Case, somewhere not too close to a fan. It depends on your case layout.
