The state of affairs at the FS/FT Forum

It's fine to say an overpriced item is "cheap", "awesome", "great deal" when it obviously is not. But it's a no no to say an overpriced item is overpriced. Problem is, the same ol' gang bump each other saying such things, racking up posts and status while some poor SOB hears nothing but praise...

I did a little research on google and found out it's my generic media. Works fine in 12x, but I guess 16x is pushing it. Thanks for the tip re: the testing mode.

forgot to say I'm using Nero 5.5. Maybe I should go back to 5.0? 5.5 also doesn't let me test burn. Weird.

Plextor 16x Burner Error: NO SEEK COMPLETE <---- NERO 5.5

Happens when I make vcds or sometimes copy cds. It doesn't ruin the cdr since the burning doesn't start. Happens at the 6-7% mark right before it's about to burn. I try after that and it burns fine. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Deviated Septum?

Thanks for the info. I think I should get something done. One side of my nose is constantly plugged, I never seem to get a good night's rest, and I often feel tired. Best way to describe it is that I feel like I have a mild cold all the time. Man, I think I will get something done about this...

Deviated Septum?

Well a few years back I was playing basketball and crashed into another player going after a loose ball. I chipped some front tooth and I suspect broke my nose. Well I was more worried about the tooth (didn't notice the nose as much). Anyone here have a deviated septum? Did you goto a ENT...

i concur. i have the radeon aiw...great hardware, terrible drivers = bad buy for now. most common opinion is that it does everything good enough but nothing really well.

Strictly my opinion. Mya is ugly. Check out that nose. Much rather go for Alieyah (sp?). Faith Hill is quite good looking except she's past her prime. Shania Twain? see Faith Hill.

my dv-525 plays all the vcds i've thrown at it...this model is a next gen version so i'm sure it will too. pioneer is good for burned vcds (any brand cdr)

How do I get Windows Explorer to recognize my cd drives?

Using WinMe here. Have three drives: 1) Toshiba 48x cd rom, 2) Plextor 12x burner, 3) Panasonic 12x dvd drive. Windows says "Compact Disc" to all three when there are no discs. Before I remember it used to say Plextor, Toshiba, etc. Playing is generally fine, but some cdr's don't read...

cd burner 8x4x38, what do these number mean?

I have a DFI TA64-B mobo with VIA 82C694X/82C596B AGPset Chipset. Now should I upgrade using the VIA 4-1 drivers, or do I have the wrong mobo? I'm using Socket 370 Celeron2 700. Thanks!
