I have a blue line running from top to bottom on my LCD monitor. Any ideas how this might have come about? Monitor works fine other than that. I tried it on multiple PC's with different cables. Is this repairable?
I picked up a pair of Shure E2c's for around 105 bucks for my MP3 player. Pretty bad a$$ for the price. They make more expensive models (E3c's=$150 and E4c's=$300) but I couldn't justify the extra expense for my workouts. If you prefer over the ear head phones try out the Bose Tri Port line.
allot of these are just display models. I have read tons of reviews about this particular Dell line and never heard a bad one. Here are a few.

Have you tried this one? I have seen it before but was a little worried about the quality. i had an adaptec usb hard drive enclosure go bad on me once and it burnt up a 250gb drive full of data. (and embaressingly another drive I put in after the first one burnt cause I thought the drive had...
Anybody know of a real good one? I would like it to be able to do both 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. I saw a bunch on Newegg but was wondering if someone out there has a good recomendation. I would rather go with better quality than cheap if you know what i mean. Let me know what you guys think.
Check out the Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW . I have one myself and it is the sh*t. Excelent in all color ranges, more than enough inputs (i have a dvd player and my cable box hooked to it) and a nice price. I got mine from the dell outlet here...
does your mobo have both SATA and PATA hard drives? I know I had to play with the settings on an MSI MoBo the other day to get it to accept both. It was a 865PE Neo3 my buddy had. I can't remember exactly what it was i set it too but if this be the case for you (you are using both) I will...
I got a dell optiplex gx150 off of ebay for $88 bucks with shipping. Works fine for my VPN server at home. Has a PIII 1ghz, 256mb of RAM, and a 10Gb HD. Not a bad deal. Had to buy a Monitor and Keyboard + mouse. Total cast $165.
are you using one of these yet? I heard that they have a 4gb limitation so are basically limited to just a clean windows install. what is your setup if you are? Any noticeable improvements?
I haven't updated the firmware yet. i'll give that a shot. To tell you the truth i am not unhappy with the drive. not one coaster yet. It's just a little annoying watching that slider go across at 12X when all of my media has 16X clearly printed on it. With dual core and a ton-o-RAM my DVD...
First off....sorry for being rude. Could you please pick another voice for us to discuss reproducing. Asking me wether or not my next gen PC will be able to reproduce the voice of a NASCAR racer is kind like asking me whether or not my new High Def DVD player can acuretly reproduce the video...
i have seen some on e-bay for around $75. Most of the newer inspiron line seem to share the same optical drive form factor. let me know if you find out different.
sorry..... Should have clarified..... Just kidding about the aluminum foil. Please don't wrap anything in your computer with a conductive material.
P.S. Nice Case!
Are you searching the drive your OS is on? I have noticed that when my pc is searching my C drive or in the middle of a virus scan on that drive I have hangs. I am running a Pentium D 940 with 2gb of RAM. This seems to be more of an IO hang not a Processor limitation. Now Dual core kicks...
save space.......explain. And how much weight can a DVD/RW casing weigh? Just wondering if the savings were worth the effort. As far as hazards go, I would worry more about exposing the laser to contaminants than actulal "laser" exposure. The laser in a DVD or CD drive can be easily effected...
also you can pick up a PSU tester for pretty cheap. i actualy found one at Circuit City for $13 bucks. Plug the PSU into an AC outlet and the tester into it and there you go. You can even check the indiviual rails pretty easy with a multi-meter.
bought a Pioneer DVR-110D about three months ago. For some reason no matter what media i use i cannot get it to burn over 12X. I am using Nero 7 premium edition now (upgraded form Nero 6 ultra) and I still have the same issue. 12X is still pretty fast but I'd like to get the full speed out of...
Anoyone else fell that the new layout for the lirary is a little combersome. i played with it a little today and just couldn't get past how klunky it was to get around. is there a way to get rid of all the icons and just have a text only veiw in the library? Having different Icons...
Just wanted to let everyone know a little problem i ran into with the newest version of Dr. DivX from DivX labs. i was encoding a few video's and didn't pay attention to what I named one of them. I left a "/" in one of the file names. OOOOPS. I was unable to delete the file using any known...
I would also try doing a thorough check of the drive using the manufacturers utility. I have found that they will find the problems better than any utility built into windows or sold by someone else. Samsung's utility for your drive can be found at...
Hey guys!
I was wondering what the fastest RAM I can buy for my work PC is. I currently have 512mb of PC2 4200 RAM installed. I guess this is DDR2 533mhz ram. They are in a 256mb X 2 setup. I would like to buy a dual channel kit (preferebly 2 X 512mb). I know that I can get the same...
If you are working in japan forget the ATI HDTV for now. It only works with over the air broadcasts of HDTV so you'd have a realy great picture of Japanese programming. I'd just pick up a Hauppauge PVR-150 or 250. Or pick up an ATI TV Wonder Pro. They don't cost much and I use one every day...
I have the same card. I am running CATALYST? Version 04.12 with no probs in
Doom3
Quake3
Halo
Ghost Recon
Half Life2
Unreal Tournament 2k4
Medal of Honor Pacific assualt
so I guess regular component inputs on my 27 inch toshiba wouldn't make much a difference. I don't want this to be my main enterainment device. Just someting to watch while I play around and try to sleep.
How dare you imply my network is not as sweet as it could be!!!!! :)
Nah I can stream video's fine to my work laptop (Dell Inspiron 9200 with a 802.11G). I tried playing the DivX back directly on the 390X harddrive with slightly better results (thanks for your input Fardingle). It only...
makes sense. Do you have a preference between any of the programs you have been using. The files the I have done with Dr.DivX came out great. A 100 min video in less than a gig. I used the Divx certified High Definition profile which yeilded great results. I'd like to try a few others you...
More to slikkster 's great list

2.Pocket hub (just a lil four port hub)
3.Norton Ghost boot disk (for replicating drives)
4.Screwdriver with magnetized head (do not give me grief about magnetic fields and hard drives)
5.Patience of Job :)
